Here’s Dame’s actual quote from 2021: “With the injuries the Warriors are dealing with and Steph playing with a younger team right now, he’s seeing that it’s tough to get those quality looks right now. It’s different than what it’s looked like the last four or five years for him. He’s trying to get quality looks and get a clean look so he can make a good one. He don’t really have that luxury to just take one from that deep just to be taking it.” Seems innocent enough, but not to Steph: “There was a moment at the beginning of last year, before the Portland game and the 62 [points], that I heard a lot of noise,” Curry said, per NBC Sports Bay Area. “I heard a lot of talk about who I wasn’t. We were going to get exposed. I was going to get exposed. All that type of stuff. I definitely took pride in shutting all that up.”

@@kdot9613 dame quote was definitely innocent, he was saying now steph got newbies he's gonna score less xD and he went on and got 32 a game for a season LMAO. Steph hears it all. On the podcast with JJ Redick JJ explained why he chose Luka over Steph in clutch situations: Luka had better clutch states. Next season Steph has most 4th quarter points per minute by a landslide and wins clutch player of the year xD hes fully aware and petty king
@RebelSoul_10 күн бұрын
I dont think it was innocent. I took it like. He was saying now he sees how hard it's been for me and he's not as good. Steph has always created his own shots. Hes not a catch and shoot player. He can but he's always created offense for himself and everyone.

Agree, shooting ain't the problem. It's the diminished physicality. That lack of impediment allowed by the defense gives offensive players more free range of movement. So players today can act more soft (which is worsened by this "rest"). It's why Olympic ball is pretty intense bc there's more bumping, grinding, and less flopping.
