A man like him could love more than one woman. He respects women. He deeply knew and respected Whitney. It's very sad that we lost her so early. I loved the chemistry between Whitney and Kevin Costner. Beautiful movie. Beautiful people.

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. James 4:4 New Living Translation 4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God." Mark 8:36 New Living Translation 36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

One of the very few movies I actually went to a theater to watch. I was a complete mess by the end. Beautiful movie, no way they didn't literally fall in love during the making of that movie..I've never seen a more moving "story" unfold. The way looked at one another was just so touching. After that my fairytale ending for my life was the bodyguard. They would have been the most amazing couple in real life. She would definitely still be here if it had happened.

I am watching this 11 years later, and my heart breaks for Kevin. He’s just been going through an acrimonious divorce and child custody case and it breaks my heart to see such a good man, a really good man, tossed aside, because he’s no longer “good” enough. This tribute to Whitney tells us a great deal about him and the kind of man he is. I’m sending a prayer for him to lift him up so he could feel the love and succor him. 🙏

There were a lot of people who criticised Kevin Costner after the funeral. When Princess Diana died, every celebrity who had ever been in the same room as her, claimed they were best friends. Kevin Costner is the only celebrity who refused to talk about her. He only expressed his sadness over her death and refused to turn mourning into a PR exercise. Here, he did the same. He talked because he was asked by Whitney's family and it was a beautiful eulogy. I think Kevin Costner has a lot of class and integrity.

@@TheFailedmessiah He never had an type of security or military training for them to consider wanting him to be her "bodyguard" I think it had more to do with the fact that he himself vouched for her for the role when everyone was dead set against it when they had acclaimed actresses waiting to audition for the role. She had no actor training under her belt and The bodyguard was her breakout role that solidified her as an "actress". They asked him to speak because he did have some affections for her that grew over their time of filming but being a good man he was married and so was she so he respected those boundaries and never allowed anyone to take advantage of her.

And sometimes its just bad timing too and many other reasons, its sad but thats life, and a lot of people fail to see who was really there for them and who cared for them the most. in Kevin and Whitney's case I think it was just bad timing and if they had met say 5 years before and both were single, things would have been different. But youre right, i think these 2 were perfect together, and i think it would of been a match that whitney's family would truely embrace seeing as they were both quite religious and grew up in the same church.

I actually do believe she was and I think they both were but in love, but I think culturally they didn’t want to rock the boat. They were both in the spotlight though contemporaries and their fields cross those lines, but a lot of them backed in, had a lot of problems with either friends or family or just plain with the media criticizing, and I think they did not think they had it in them to fight it and also continue to fight for their relationship that never was because they didn’t want to like I said rock the boat unfortunately I think she got in a relationship with Bobby not because she was on the rebound or anything, but I think because it was culturally acceptable for her to be with him versus somebody that was not up the same race even though it was starting to become normal to see interracial couples back then but they still were criticized and talked about like nobody’s business and now you’re going to add on a whole bunch of media family friends and everybody’s two cents on their relationship if they ever got a chance to develop one

I’ve watched the movie “The Bodyguard” many times, and just as I felt the strong and powerful on-screen chemistry that Whitney and Kevin both shared, I feel it again as I watch this eulogy. I can tell that their relationship was very close, very real, and very passionate. So close, in fact, that it saddens me that they didn’t choose to pursue it further after the film completed. They would have been a true power couple, in every sense of the word, and I truly believe that Whitney would have gone on to be even more successful. More importantly, her self-confidence and self-esteem would have skyrocketed, with a man like Kevin by her side, believing in her and encouraging her the way he did. RIP dear Whitney 🙏🏼

I watch this from time to time to be reminded that class, love, loyalty, and tenderness still exists in our world. Kevin Costner could've used this opportunity to say anything he wanted, but he chose to highlight the best of Whitney, proudly, and I love that.

If I had Kevin Costner in my life, encouraging me, giving me confidence and never giving up on me, I would be in a much different place in my life right now, Whitney Houston was very fortunate to have had this man in her life even if it was only for a little while. Love you Kevin, RIP Whitney, God love and protect you lovely lady ❤

Saw on the news tonight Kevin Costner received a 7-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival for the release of his new self financed and directed project "Horizon. " While I'm sitting here watching Dances With Wolves I came across this video of his eulogy to Whitney Houston. This guy is such a class act. It was great to see him get some recognition tonight.

Amazing. I can't believe I never saw the whole eulogy until now. Whitney Houston had a talent that was miles above the rest. Her death was a real tragedy, and you can see how much Kevin Costner cared about her and believed in her. This is a beautiful tribute, straight from the heart. Kindred spirits they were. Kevin showed class and humanity, like a real man.

The fact that he put the movie back for a year because his heart told him that Whitney was the right co star , says a lot about the convictions of this man. He was already one of my fav actors. Now I like him more. I will always be Whitney Houston's big fan.🥰⚘🙏🏽

I don’t care what anyone says, this man was deeply in love with Whitney. They were both married at the time so neither of them could say or do anything. You can just feel the chemistry & bond between them, you can feel/hear his love for her through his voice, his tone & how his whole demeanor changes every time he mentions her name. Watch his interviews & their encounters you’ll know what am talking about. See how she looked at him & how she was always smiling & so happy around him. RIP Queen ❤ we will always love you & we love you Kevin, thank you for this beautiful eulogy 😓💔

Cepillo 1101 Witney was using long before she met Bobby. It's hard I to know if what you suggest would have been true. Addicts are a tough group to understand. They face a tremendous amount of self doubt and insecurity. The entertainment business tends to turn it's back on the Witneys, Kurts, Belushis when they fall from grace. It's sad and unfortunate.

She may well be alive now if it had panned out that way. I believe Bobby was her ruin. I know she was using before Bobby, but two addicts reinforce each other.
