I so love seeing mops and buckets included as props in the choreography!! I'm remembering when a Broadway revival left out the buckets...kids were great, but those buckets just had to be there!! Well done!

@findekind942 ай бұрын
While these girls are all fantastic dancers, this production also shows that they put too much focus on that part, making the acting and singing weaker parts. It's incredibly hard to find children who are great at acting, dancing and singing solo. The dancing is great, but the acting performances make the emotional storytelling weak and that's a bummer

While this is a deep song, it has a very upbeat tone, so they’re just emulating that. They are amazing singers though especially if you look at the other songs in the musical

Yeah this was a mess. Too angry. Bizarre orchestrations and the dance moves were way too hootchie momma/ club night/acrobatic circus to be the musical "Annie" It is well understood that "Annie" is a strict stereotype casting and when that is altered it just falls out if bed. No matter how good anyone is in the role. It is based on a comic strip that has its own post Hoover/ stock market crash damaged USA message. Its also a period old world Pre-war setting so it is a rather difficult show to play around with.The same with Oliver. The musical spirit however transcends in set numbers...but the entire dramatic effect of the show is a minefield to reimagine.
