its nice to show clips of the helmet in use rather your face all the time. that made me watch the full video and hear all your inputs, informative. Which one is better in terms of noise buffering the i 30 or the i 20? My i20 is windy/noisy, but i like how it looks and its my short range helmet so im fine with it

Thank you for the feedback! I didn't try the i20 so I cannot compare between that and the i30. I seldom don't use open face that often so from my point of view the wind noise is not that bad overall..

@@thesighbored incase you get to try one (i20), pls make a comparo. I wssnt planning on gettung an open face but said incase i get one, I was eyeing the i30 but chose the 20 for the unique look. But i have to say it is loud. It is also my only open face lid of my 7 helmets and my most would be the agv k6.

@@jamesg3685 The i20 is more towards jet style with a chin cover, so it doesn't really help much with reducing wind noise as the jet style is much shorter on the sides, and the chin cover is not a perfect seal. I think the i30 will definitely offer more in wind noise reduction than the i20 overall..

​@@thesighboredjust tried one, yeah its ok but still like the i20 so no regrets. Hey how about k6 vs rpha 12 re weight, sound insulation, comfort etc with the same color that nardo gray just make things look so good. Ride safe

Hey Sighboard, Yes ! Your right , can be risky in UK , you have to be careful when riding , especially at night and avoid certain areas. I just got back from Malaysia in August, every time I visit , I'm so proud of Malaysian car drivers , how they respect and are very observant of the motorcycle riders. This makes riding much safer there. Unfortunately here in UK, alot of car driver don't care to make proper observations or consider Moto riders, and Moto riders here are constantly on alert with ignorant careless drivers. Keep up the good work, I'm very happy I found your channel. 👍😎

Goes to show they're only called advanced country but their people minds are not.. I think even in US it's like that.. So many clips of drivers crashing into bikes because "I didn't see that motorcycle" while busy on Tiktok or something.. Either way as crazy as our streets are I feel it's still better than in some western ones.. Hope you enjoy the vids while you are in the UK!

It's a polycarbonate outer shell. The i30 is a very good upgrade from the old IS-33 II. I'm a size large and this helmet fits true-to-size. The liner and cheek pads feel snug at first especially after having used nothing but Shoeis for the past few years but once broken in, the i30 is very comfortable. I feel very secure and safe when I'm using my i30. The internal drop-down sun visor is a light smoke which I like. It could go down a little bit more but it's okay. The top vents work well although I feel the vents on my old IS-33 II flowed a bit more air. The face shield seems to be thinner than the one on the IS-33 II but I love the detents on this one more. Aesthetically, this is an improvement over the old IS. That one was quite a bit taller. This one is just right. I also have an AGV Orbyt and the i30 is way better than that lid.

Is it possible to take off only the cheek pads? Can you try to put it on with sunglasses, to see if they need to be taken off? Normally with the retro open face helmets you can just push them to the side a bit and not worry about that.

If you remove the cheek pads then you can't wear the helmet properly.. But I believe the pads are not that solid that it does not allow any spectacle to squeeze past them, maybe in future I will include glasses testing for helmet review.

Just bought one. Horrible wind noise that seems to come from both lower front bottoms. This is the louder jet helmet I've ever wear in 25 years. It's unbelievable.

This is Malaysia, for open face there are a lot of choices and most will get the cheaper/lower end models compared to branded ones. So they consider the price is a bit expensive although they know it's more branded or quality.

The bottom area of the cheek pads and neck roll are having synthetic liner that is water resistant.

My head measurement was M and the M fit me pretty good.. But still sometimes head shape may affect overall fit, if you can, go try it out at the nearest dealer so you can know if it fits good for you..

I have i30 and i do wear glasses. Unfortunately, you need to take out your glasses when wearing in/off the helmet. Though it is supported for glasses, and have glass grooves, the inner fabric is quite thick and you tend to accidentally drop your glasses, or, due to your head size/earlobes/etc, the fabric tends to push your ear and maybe your glasses earframe. Best is to test it out, and get 1size bigger if you are at the limit of the helmet sizing. It takes time for the helmet to conform to your head shape

@@thesighbored Have you ever considered trying out a modular helmet? I've been using LS2 modular for the past 5 year, be it on kapcai or my naked bike. Wouldn't wear any other helmet if it's not a modular now. It's just so convenient for daily rider & occasional long distance east coast west coast trip back home to KL for me.
