I am feeling really alone this morning and dont want to hear other peeps sounds next door so I am listening while I read.... It is peaceful this birdsong. Every morning I walk and listen to birds in my area. No matter what is going on, they are joyous. Life goes on. I spent my teen years in delaware where we lived off 2 lane roads and big forest behind our house. Used to hike in white clay creek, the roar of the white water creek, the loud buzz of crickets. It was the soothing white noise of nature.

Your story almost made me cry too... It's a pitty that you had to leave the countryside, because, for me, it is a way more natural environment for us humans - the environment that we are designed to live in. Not the agressive concrete madness... I really hope that more and more people realise just how incredibly important for our wellbeing nature is will start modifying and recreating cities to incorporate as much of it as possible and as less of the noisy, stressful and toxic traffic as possible. And with the increase of online jobs, I hope that more people will be moving to live back into the countryside where they would create vibrant and lively communities... I hope so... In the meantime I am glad that these videos help you get some of the relaxing and healing benefits that real nature experience does. Hug from me

Nothing is permanent in life. You might be in a noisy city now, but surely later you will have a choice to move back closer to nature in the countryside. Even if you cannot make that decision now, later you family may or surely you will have that opportunity for yourself as situations changes. Just don't forget your love of nature. In the meantime you can find small versions of nature even in the city. even having indoor plants will help. Don't feel too bad and keep on loving nature.

I remember, years back around the time when I could still walk my lassie collie across the meadow and into the wood.I had had a spinal operation and was still recovering. I entered the shade and peacefulness of the wood and half way through, I was overcome with tiredness.well I walked through to a clearing all lit with sunlight and sat down on an old settee. My dog nestled down at my feet as I closed my eyes and felt the sun bathe me with warmth. Listening to the birdsong One Sound particularly the woodpecker the hollow sound of his drumming was so hypnotic that sighing with the soft gentle breezes in the branches above my head,I breathed and all the stress of past events just left me and I fell asleep. I will never forget the peace of the birdsong. . I later awoke and walked my dog home feeling so rested having left all the post traumas of major spinal surgery behind. This amazing memory is evoked once more listening to your wonderful video. Thank you!

I live in an apartment now, and the people on my floor have all asked what kind of birds I have. I tell them I have no birds, and I could never put a bird in a cage. Two of them said, "WELL, I HEARD A BIRD!" You would think they never opened a window and heard birds. Right now, it's 29 degrees F. outside, and the sounds of birds (which I do not play loudly) annoy these folks. I don't understand them. I always had bird feeders, bird houses for nesting, and had plenty of birds in my years, just as my dad did all of his short life. I don't understand people who don't like the sound of birds.

I love to hear authentic Northern European birdsong! I "layer" this over easy listening music based on European fantasy and folklore, like the Fietcher Brothers' collections of elf and fairy music.

my birds in the Uk have gone silent due to their annual moult, so it's been super quiet for weeks now. I was sitting on my patio with my laptop reading an ebook and I played this and after only 10 mins the songbirds started to sing again :)

I am a mental health therapist and I use this in the background of my sessions. It adds such a calming presence to the environment of my office. TheSilentWatcher, you have no idea the difference and impact that you make in the lives of others by offering videos like this. I can feel that in my personal and professional life as well as from reading the comments posted by others. Thank you.

My husb & I ea grew up n the forest mine n around Yoncalla, OR & he close 2 Mt. Rainier, WA. then we lived up n Blue River, OR & Oakridge OR n the forested areas & both by rivers. I miss the forest & the birds. Now, the ornthologists say millions have died from the terrible storms we've been having over these past 20 yr's. Thousands of song birds have perished. Where we currently live very few crows made along with doves & starlings, no robins this year, the snow birds were killed when the ice-snow laden trees broke during the night broke & they all fell n the snow & couldn't c 2 escape. Those were part of r environment here but no longer till these can have babies. One robin made it through out of dozens. The hawks were killed, I haven't seen the ospreys so far nor the eagles. Sad x's we live n. Then we have these ignorant harsh hearted boys, teens & men who don't care what they r shooting @ kills off the other portion. Sad ndeed. I am grateful Silent Watcher was able 2 record these beautiful birds God Created. 03-18-17 Harrisburg, OR USA
