I live in the Cascade mountains in Washington state. We have the most amazing thrift stores here! Most of my things are thrifted. I’ve never, in my whole life, purchased a piece of furniture new. My mom was a thrifter, and it’s not something that she ever said was the best way. I just fell in love with it as she would take me along. My kids are all grown now, and it’s been so much fun to watch them go from “thrifting is something that my mom does” to “mom, look what I got at the thrift store, isn’t it cool?” In a society that wastes so much, it’s so nice to know that my kids aren’t contributing to the problem in a major way. Not because I told them that we shouldn’t be wasteful, but because I showed them.

We have very few thrift stores here anymore, but the GW we do have is quite expensive. No such thing as a bargain anymore. I remember going with my grandmother when l was young (over 60 years ago) and l still like to look for a "treasure" when l can.

Yes GW has definitely went up in price! Our thrift stores in our area have become very hit or miss but on occasion I’m able to find some great things. 🙂

Nicole, I'm 65 yrs old and I have diy and thrifted all my life and I will never change. We live on a cattle farm and my home is farmhouse/cottage and people come and love and look my house over but I just say, "thrifted". My sister is my best friend who goes with me alot but thrifting isn't her cup of tea until she see's what I'm buying and I re-do then she wants it. Yes its fun and I love it. I am an avid thrifter and picker 😁 99% of my home decor is thrifted or secondhand. My favorite piece that you showed today was an easy pick for me... I absolutely love the brown stoneware mixing/dough bowl 😍 I have always admired them but they are very rare in my area. Just this past summer, I hit the jackpot‼️ I went to an estate sale as an early shopper. The sale was on a Saturday and Sunday but I was going to be out of town that weekend so I messaged the wonderful lady running the estate sale and asked if I could possibly come a day early to check everything out because I wasn't going to make it the days that they were having the sale. She very kindly said yes. It was totally a God wink moment because there were so many amazing items that I had been looking for, plus so many other things that were not on my list, but I couldn't pass up. That is where I came across 3 of the stoneware mixing/dough bowls all 3 for $10 😯 I couldn't believe it. I also found an antique commode and an antique crockery chicken waterer. The commode was $5 and the chicken waterer was $3. I was blown away with the prices and super excited that I had first dibs. I got home and Google lensed the chicken waterer and it was a rare find. I could only find 2 that had been listed and one sold for $350 and the other one sold for $399. To think I only paid $3, I felt like I robbed her, lol 😆 Needless to say.. I finally got my stoneware bowls and had a trunk and back seat full of absolutely amazing finds 🎉 Again, it was totally a God wink moment 🙌 Thank you so much for sharing your finds with us ❣️ I loved pretty much all of them 😍 ❤️

I love to thrift too and have been for about 30 years. I live in a small town and stop by the local Goodwill all the time. I usually don't find anything, but every now and then I will find something cute for my small home. I love the hunt! The most exciting thing I've found was about a year ago... I found a large red Dooney and Bourke florentine satchel for $4.99! I was so excited! It's a $500 bag and it is the real deal, not conterfeit. My favorite thing in your video is the Pampered Chef tray. Love it and everthing else you shared (hard to pick a favorite). I just found your channel and subscribed!

I love thrifting and I have found name brand items especially recently I found a Hobby Lobby pillow at a local thrift store for $4! It’s the pink with ruffles on it and I’m using it for Valentine’s decor ! I have decided where it’s going yet ! Either in our master bedroom or the living room! I love thrift shopping! It is something you have to enjoy doing because you can go one week and not find anything and the next week hit the jackpot. 😆I have noticed our local Goodwill carries a lot of Hearth and Hand and Threshold items that seems to be donated by Target so I have been able to pick up a lot of my items there. I live in a small town in the Idaho mtns. but we do have a great thrift shop. Goods turn over quickly so I have to visit often. I've scored some neat items there. I also have some things that I bought years ago, before retirement, that I still love and use. My favorite that you shared was the pottery. I have a collection of southwest Indian pottery and those kind of pieces would blend in beautifully. Just love you and your channel. Keep well and God bless.

I am a notorious thrifter 🤣 I’m currently making over my former roommates room into a living room and my most recent finds are an antique gate leg table for 60€ and a set of 4 folding chairs with Viennese braid and made out of cherry wood for 70€ . You did very well. I love the idea of the navy cabinets. The lamp is gorgeous. I would find somewhere for it. It looks so high end and good quality. I love the dresses and the top. Brown looks so pretty with that shiny beautiful hair of yours . I have the whole set of swirled white plates....love them. Thrifting is addicting! Once you start and realize how much you save on one of a kind items, it's hard to stop lol 😜 I guarantee that you will love every minute of it. Definitely give it a whirl and just enjoy the hunt ❣️

Yes on the thrift store I make a lot of people mad when they come to my house because they say where do you get that nice a yard sale Goodwill my favorite thing was your furniture at all look so nice
