Without social and family related dynamics, the Sims are just dull dolls. So funny players need to micro manage their dynamics while random townies or unplayed household has nothing, just generated sim. These dynamics will surely has little effect like a moodlets that last for hours similar to sentiment. yawn 🥱🥱 please release sims5 already

No offense but I feel like most of this stuff should just be in the base game or in a parenthood refresh or something. It's probably going to be super glitchy like everything else in this game, and I feel like bug fixes for other packs should be a priority. This game has been out for over eight years, and it costs over $1,000 and it just doesn't feel like it's worth it.

Canes for elders, strollers, funerals, imaginary friends, cars, burglars, more gameplay for pets, and a proper Daycare profession would have been great features to include in this pack. Also, why all the dental hype but no new dentist career?? So far, everything I've seen of Growing Together makes me think it could have been a Game Pack. I don't think this is $50 worthy.. especially when modders have already provided a lot of this gameplay for free. All we've seen in Growing Together as main features are things that would have been small details in previous sims' games generation packs.

I want to know if family dynamics can change via gameplay. Like Atlas's relationship with his sister is difficult right now, but when they age up a bit and have different positive experience with each other, can that dynamic change to close on it's own? Or for our own story telling purposes, would we have to manually change it? EDIT: @TheSims replied and said the dynamics can change on their own over time with enough interactions! 😁

Based on the trailer it seems like they might? The narrator mentioned that the parents relationship "stood the test of time" because of their compatibility as well as the many milestones they had achieved together so that kinda implies that things could have changed if that wasn't the case. It would be pretty lazy if you had to always change it yourself.

I fear that it is something we manually change. Narrator said "as if it was handpicked..." which tells me they maybe yet again to lazy to be bothered to make that feature into the game. I wish I'm wrong though. But then again this is a $40 pack, so I suppose we just don't expect that this is going to be the best pack ever. EA hasorrible customer service-- don't give them your money! Can't login to EA, even the website, so I can't play Sims 4 at all. Has been happening since November 2022, they just say 'just wait, this is a known issue.' So I can't play a game I've spent a lot of time and money on.

Idk how long you‘ve been playing The Sims but I‘ve been playing ever since the very first Sims game came out and what they‘re doing rn is plain hustle and if you know the past Sims games then I feel like you should know where I‘m coming from. And I do understand that financially this is probably the best they can do, it really is a smart business move bc they know they still don‘t have any real competiton as of yet and even if people are mad, they‘ll probably still buy it bc The Sims is an amazing game and you don‘t really have an alternative if you wanna play this kind of game. And EPs are basically a necessity at this point bc otherwise your game‘s gonna be pretty boring pretty fast. I dont know what to think. I just remembered the High School Years trailer. Everything looks absolutely amazing in this trailer, and it felt like there was a lot of gameplay, but the pack ended up being completely shallow. I'm very skeptical about trailers for Sims 4. The trailers always look good, but more often than not the pack that comes with them isn't nearly as good. That's why I don't even dare to feel anything like hype. And to be honest, I think the compatibility system/milestones belongs in the base game. I find it outrageous to keep such features behind a paywall. I know the Sims 4 community is full of many (very young) people who think you should be thankful for everything and take criticism of the game personally, like you offended one of their family members. But I do not care. I say what I feel. Hate me if you want, I don't mind. I've just had too many negative experiences comparing trailers to the actual packs in the past ... :/

@@kva5751 no, since many features in this pack was included in the sims 2 and 3 base game. Infants and chemistry etc should be part of a life simulator base game especially when earlier generations of that game had those features

Please fix your bugs!!! Havent played in a week...came back to find multiple generations of families completely wiped out from the neighbourhood and gone from my saved household library too. Seriously, it gets worse and worse!! And very off putting. Also one of my sims is covered with a pattern of bright white squares. Every week is something buggy with this game.

Cute, but disappointing. Where is the gameplay? It is called a gameplay trailer. Now I am worried that there is a lack of actual real gameplay in this expansion. What they showed was adorable, but that is it? I am rather disappointed. They better show us some real gameplay or other features soon. Else I am just going to wait for a 50-75% off sale. Because what they showed was not worth the $40 to me at all. Instead of hyping me up for the expansion, this trailer did just the opposite.

Do y’all just expect everything to be free at this point? Most games you buy always have content you have to buy in game nowadays so the sims have to make money somehow. The infants are already a free update - a whole new life stage with new traits/personalities as well as Cas items. None of the “generations” packs in the sims have ever been base game

@@adoringlymiley that's not the point. Just look at the stats. The Sims 3 had round about 20 EPs. The Sims 4 already has almost 50 EPs (I mean all the packs, not only expansion). And they did take a lot of things from base game and made it into expansion packs, maybe not this one but if you've been playing the past games than there's no need for me to explain. Whirl pools were always included in the base game, now they made a whole pack just for you to get whirl pools wtf (until they added the one whirl pool for the 20th (!!!) birthday)

@@adijaya4517 Yes, I play Sims 4, and have been playing Sims for 23 years. Milestones are a new feature coming to Sims 4 with Growing Together. What I was saying is they remind me of the actual memory system in Sims 2 rather than what we have now. I don't think it will be the same as Sims 2, but I'm excited to see a similar looking feature is being added.

I wouldnt even play till toddlers were added. It's cute and all but shouldn't this all just be in Parenthood? Or the base game? Like, are they seriously asking us to pay $40 to be able to change how our Sims feel about each other? At the most this should have been a $20 pack because then you could just buy parenthood with it and that would make more sense. With Sims 4 EA earns a golden nose. This isn't a sim anymore. And Sims 5 I will not buy. I don't spend money on rent. And then I don't even own the game. Can't EA get a full throat? And yet there are still players who would pay EA 5000 euros in rent every month to buy increasingly deteriorating Sims. How many updates did you want to bring to the Sims 4? And it's best to collect 2000 euros for an update.
