Banana: Day 3-ish of being stranded, mother still hasn't returned to get me back from this vacation. I try to hope she'll come back to me but then I remember what she did to my brother and sister's sister and I think it would be safer for me to just stay here. In the meantime I've gotten to known the locals and I've heard that mermaids may even exist amongst us! But that's just a myth- I mean I'm pretty sure I would know a mermaid if I see one.

You can become a mermaid by finding Kelp and eating it once. You can find Kelp in the cave by being a level 5 in the fitness skill.

Only when the bladder need is at it’s very lowest which, unless you are already in the water, defeats the point because at that point you are normally ‘too uncomfortable’ to swim. However for some reason you can still snorkel when uncomfortable so if you were to click that they would swim into the water then you could cancel it and click to pee instead.

A good way to find mermaids if you don't want to memorise the sims is to watch the water and see who has a tail :) a few of them have the child of the ocean trait too so they tend to go swim autonomously. Of course this only works if they don't glitch out because I've seen sims who I KNOW are mermaids swimming around with legs like I can't see them lmao

hey james! on the red buoy you can purchase diving gear that allows you to dive for treasure. i’ve used this and gotten things worth 600-1000 simoleons. but also sometimes i’ve gotten nothing. the diving gear is 1200 simoleons btw.

You can play in the water at the waterfall... but once you get that negative (red) party hat by your fun by having no fun for awhile... it makes it harder to regain fun... but playing in the waterfall pool does help.

If you click on the smiley face next to the fun bar, your sim automatically chooses to do something that boosts it. Makes it easier if you don't know where you can find fun activities. That goes for all the need bars 😊

tip: if your lot has the spirits trait and you comunicated with them at night they can fill your needs for a few hours or days another thing: mermaids can sleep and sunbath in water and control the weather!
