hey I have a problem, I was trying to import my sketches model into Twinmotion but the model is incomplete and I can't seem to fix it. my model is quite big, perhaps that is the problem. This is incredible. So much easier then placing trees with Sketchup. I’ve been using Sketchup for so long and never knew this existed. I’ve also used unreal engine for a while I never thought to combine the two

FYI there is apparently a bug currently in Twinmotion with the normal lawn grass asset. When you path trace, the software completely ignores the length setting for normal grass and defaults it to something very low (it looks terrible). You can work around this by doing what you did and using the long grass asset (I just set the length to something very low like 1 or 2%). It looks so much better. Great vid and info! 👍

Ugh - I wish they'd give the grass some more attention - it's such a vital tool and it's a bit difficult to work with, which is frustrating. I'm happy with Twinmotion overall but I'd like this to be a focus are for them. Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much, I'm new to sketchup and from what I learned in your tutorial, I think sketchup will my primary 3D modeling. I've also made a walkthought animation using the free trial twinmontion and I'm still looking closely at comparisons with other 3D rendering software. From what I've seen, twinmotion is faster when it comes to animation, but I haven't tested the image yet, because the resolution is low. Thank you again, and more power.

Hello! Justin. I notice that the terrain here is flat. What if the terrain is on a slope? So the model is split level. Also, I have a backdrop of trees like a stage setting. Would Twinmotion acknowledge that also?

I had the same problem. Open the panel on the right and left-clik on the 3 dots that are to the right of the file you chose to import - a menu will open. Go down to, and clik on "Zoom to Selection." Now... I dunno if this will affect rendering or not, but that was the only way I got what I imported to appear. I have so far imported about a half dozen models, and had to do this with each and every one of them. I have not looked around in the program very much yet...so I dunno if this is normal, or if there is a setting so that what you import appears front and center by default. Hope this helps

There is no free desktop version of SketchUp (though I suppose the 2017 make version is still floating around out there), but more specifically, you should be able to render any SketchUp file with Twinmotion
