Something to learn when comparing skiers in this level 5 video vs. Level 6 next. Level 6 skiers rotary skills, separation of the upper and lower body, and angulation, especially at the hip are better. All good skiers but level 6 are more effective and efficient.

Level 6 guys are all pro level, basically on each clip is a pro for that discipline like short turns slalom racer, long turns GS racer, moguls freestyle competitor, offpiste pro free rider, etc. I'm level 5 advanced but getting to level 6 is totally a different story.

@@perakojot6524 Watch any Reilly video and slow it down. He is one of the most technically correct skiers in the world. I know because I was/am one. His upper body is always vertical and stable so all he has to do is change his weight like pedaling a bike and the skis do the rest.

Why don't you use world cup skiers as examples?

Because they are above level 5 level.

0:20 No control or discipline for keeping the weight on the turning ski. It was switching all over the place. There is no strong early edge. The Jet is from thrusting the tails to the side not from the edges gripping. She is almost making the turns on her inside ski as the outside ski is blowing away from the inside ski as the turn is made. 2:30 There it is again. Watch how the outside ski breaks away from the inside ski, That happens for two reasons. The skis are not making the turn, she is by thrust the back of the skis to the side and is not focusing on which foot has the weight. She gets better toward the end. 3:00 Even in turns like this, there is way too much rotation and steering with the upper body. One lapse of attention to which is the turning/support ski and you will be on the uphill ski in a flash and that is Not good on that trail! 3:36 No compare how this person strives to keep his shoulders level and his chest facing down the hill. That allows the upper body weight to be in position for balancing on the outside ski through the turn. 4:15 Same with this skier. Look how quiet the upper body is. Notice: He is able to make fast turns through the trees because his upper body is always ready to balance on the next foot. He doesn't have to Put It Back in place. As long as we are critiquing, I watched the video of you skiing. Your tails are washing out even though you're skiing on an easy intermediate groomer. After you go into inclination, you need to continue with gradual angulation to increase your edge angles and keep the carve going to the end of the turn. Instead, you are not creating the angles needed and either steering your feet or using too much tip pressure at the end of the turn. You are certainly not skiding for speed control on that slope. Youl ook good and having fun is what really matters, but if you are going to critique every skier on youtube, you should at least be able to make clean carves on a bunny slope.

@@grizzkid795 You didn't bother to REAQD the description or any of my comments. You aren't going to learn anything looking at a video. All you can do with a video is Mimic what you see. I was Demonstrating exactly what I wanted to Demonstrate. I would have made Carved Turns if that is what I wanted to Demonstrate. 99.9% of all skiers make sliding turns. Why would I want to make carved turns to show off like every other ski instructor on KZbin when my intention is to Teach people how to ski?
