Do you have micro breaks between your turns? try and make sure there's always something going on.

2:50 "Quite often I'll see somebody's got one timing of the movement where [if they're] doing a longer turn, they just have a bigger deadspot. Up, Turn, Dead Spot." My skiing exactly. Thanks for the great tips.

Hey Darren, yet another outstanding series of videos! I have been watching your videos for years and they have helped me improve my skiing skills so much. It's refreshing to hear you saying basically the same thing way back then to now. That tells me that the fundamentals that you stress really are fundamental. Keep up the great work. I can't wait for the next one!

Hello Darren! I've seen the whole serie of fundamentals. What a great job you have put together! I myself ski for over 50 years, climbed the Mont Blanc and did a lot of heliskiing in Canada, Switzerland and Italy. In my younger years I was a skiteacher myself for 15 years (and still occasionally) and it's a great pleasure to have your confirmation that in all this years nothing has changed: "there is no golden rule" , but without these fundamentals you can't move on to other techniques! I always was teaching in function of these fundamentals and saw too many teachers leading them far away from this by letting them do excersises just to keep them (or him/herself) busy ... And you have a point: when me myself go over my limits, I faile because one of these fundamentals is missing! A guideline from beginner to racer as you make clear. Again, congratulations and I hope to see more of you!

Great stuff Darren. I took an advanced ski lesson earlier this week and it’s refreshing to see a lot of the same concepts in these videos. Will definitely come back here to reinforce those principles. Looking forward to your new material.

"Tea breaks" 😆. I was a very passive / park and ride skier for a long time, and I had basically no short radius turn b/c of this. Thanks for the reminder!

unfortunately I can see a lot of my faults on your videos and my bad habits. I understand why and what you are saying I have just got to persuade the old muscle memory to relearn and then hopefully I will enjoy my skiing trip each year more@@DarrenTurnerSkiing
