MGS2 Speedrun -

Played on PAL PS3 Fat (CECHH04), with DualShock 3.
Game is MGS HD Collection, PAL disc version, software version 1.00 (no update).
NG++ (3rd round), no game over on sight. The loading trick* was used up to the sniper segment with Emma.
Played live on / mgslade .
Some stupid mistakes as usual but the run was smooth overall, I'm happy with it. Also, thanks Strafe ;)

@@Stefanoabed05 this is a no save run so there's nothing to reload. If he fucks up then he has to start over. That said lot's of people speedrun and have to reset constantly and their reactions probably about a 3-6.

I like to believe that this kind of play is canonically how the games happen, especially because with the level of not giving a shit snake and (atleast in the games after this) raiden have about the actual challenge of the enemies or situation besides maybe a time crunch outside their control.

Ames position is different on New Game+ saves, but we play on NG++ to get the Stillman cutscenes skips (which saves a lot of time), Strut D fastest bombs positions, even though we can lose time by seeking for Ames.

Yeah, Raiden used a non-lethal move which lead to that soldiers death (the fall). Punch/kick combos can only stun people in this game so according to the rules and laws of the game he never actually kills him. The soldier dies due to manipulated events and unfortunate circumstances lol.
