The Slaws are on their first stealth camping trip in their Hobby motorhome Helga ‪@HobbyCaravan‬
They found the car park in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, on park4night and Mrs Slaw did some research before agreeing to it.

We use and Aeropress to make coffee while travelling. No mess, easy to clean, make super coffee and the grounds go straight into the bin.

I grew up in Tad when the town had some great pubs and shops and the buildings weren’t boarded up. I moved to Wetherby in the nineties and I’ve hardly been back. Where the red van was parked there used to be a toilet block and the Falcon pub had some great lock-ins 😊. Paul.

We try and “wild camp” if we can and their are great car parks everywhere if you know where to look. Skipton is great, they even have 4 dedicated motorhome parking bays. Chester is another great park up. Just don’t park in the coach bays. 5 minute walk into the city. Shrewsbury down by the river has bays just for us motorhomers. Yours to discover. Good luck 👍. Always enjoy traveling with you, especially in France as we also have Optima t75 hge. In france we usually stay on Aires so amazed this is your first park4night. In the 1970s used to go to the Cinema between Riley-Smith Hall and Central Car Park to see Flash Gordon series. Pub next to John Smith's Brewery gate is the one that did not run dry when drayman went on strike.

I agree with you that SFS is the better of the two apps for finding stop overs. I have also joined a couple of groups on Facebook that give pub stop over reviews, such as UK pub stopover reviews for motor homes & campervans. There are also other ones where you put in the town and it gives you any feedback for pubs in the area. I have used this travelling around the UK and it was really helpful. Happy Motor-homing and I hope that Slaw is fully recovered.

Hi Ian, yes we were at Riley Smith Hall. It’s one of the nicest dance halls we’ve been to. The sprung floor is superb! You just have to hold on to your glasses if someone is dancing near your table 😝

HI folks - love watching your adventures, quick question - how do you charge your Bluetti on your travels? In my caravan I have 250w solar up top. Could I use the cig lighter points inside which would draw on my lithium battery ( solar ) - whaat do you think?

Hi Steve, not sure? We have a 160w portable solar panel that charges our power stations. We also charge on 240 when we’re on a campsite. We don’t use the cig lighter to charge them.

Hi Susan, we usually rinse the cafetière out and chuck the grounds in a bush or rinse it down the sink in a campsite sink. We can’t do that in a car park, so we use coffee bags instead 👍🏻
