I’m a little embarrassed to say this but if I was to see Ashton on the mall or in the grocery store I would think, man that guy must get girls and I bet he sleeps good. Not knowing that he was going through the same thing that I’m currently going through. I can’t sleep at all sometimes and if I do it’s way less than 4 interrupted hours. I really enjoy this Channel but it does get me a little upset when people complain about getting 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I would feel thankful with 5 hours and would feel amazing with 6 hours of sleep. Thank you Daniel your work is highly valued and appreciated.

Hi Joe, Thanks for the kind words and… it often helps when we see that others, who we think are living so differently from ourselves, have similar experiences… we really all have this common humanity linking us. It’s also of course so natural to be a bit upset when others have what we can’t seem to find… but you know, it’s really a form of self criticism when we are angry, because ultimately we are angry at ourselves and we think something is wrong with us. This is why I think self kindness actually is what helps more than anything else. Be in touch Joe

That’s why the channel is here! And yes, doubting that we slept is a common part of hyper sleep, and being energized as well comes from hyperarousal

When you overcome insomnia and are sleeping peacefully after so many sleepless nights, your body has to play catch up in order to not feel that fatigue from all the sleepless nights your body endured. When you are going through insomnia, your body pumps adrenaline in order to compensate for the lack of sleep so you can still function normally. In other words, you are so exhausted but you cannot feel it! When you start sleeping peacefully again, your body no longer pumps all that adrenaline, and so you may feel even more tired with better sleep. But it will only last a little while. I got all this info from Daniel's book, Set it and Forget it! How long did your insomnia period last, and when did you get over it?

@@trap5089 you prolly have chronic fatigue caused by something else like a nutritional deficiency. You should get a blood test if it’s really interfering with your life, though it’s normal to wake up feeling tired. Your brain needs time to stop producing melatonin when you see light

In my experience, the fatigue is tied to the Struggle and not to how well I slept. I struggled for several months and my nervous system was on high alert. As my nervous system calmed down and as I learned to diffuse my thoughts in a mindful way, I finally got rest, but I was EXHAUSTED from months and months of Struggle. The fatigue at this point goes in waves. I'm confident that as time passes and as I rest peacefully, even if I don't always sleep, that the fatigue will continue to lift. Maybe this will help you too?
