Maybe during the same year, the winner of the first two slams, could have the roll, the momentum, the confidence non stop to go through and win Wimbledon & US Open in a stretch of 2 - 3 months. Novak is the only player in the history of tennis to win all 4 majors, ATP finals, olympic Gold, and all 9 masters! These are called the big titles of tennis! In fact hes won the masters twice over and slams 3 times over. Add to that most weeks no.1 428 and most year ends 8! For context noone else has won all 9 masters! Federer is missing a gold medal and 2 masters. Nadal is missing masters and ATP final. Agassi comes the closest winning all 4 slams, Olympic Gold and ATP final but is missing masters.

Alcaraz played Djokovic two times on hard and lost all these matches. With this version of Djokovic, Alcaraz would not have chance on any surface. Djokovic had no chance against Alcaraz in Wimbledon because he had no training before tournament, just rehab after knee operation.

Where is Toni Nadal and everyone who said that Novak couldn t beat Alcaraz or Sinner? Now, the new excuse is the five set match. Alcaraz doesn t have a career long enough to say that he would beat Novak in 5 sets. Novak is the one who proved how great he is in a five set match. The bullshit that Alcaraz prefers fast surfaces is bullshit! Alcaraz complained like a bitch about how fast was the surface at the semi finals in Atp Tour championship finals. Cut the crap and your excuses. Alcaraz defeated a one leg Djokovic at Wimbledon.

Say it again brother! AMEN! Making excuses for the eventual 15+ GS winning Alcaraz is pathetic when he clearly played one of the best -- if not the best -- match of his life. That it came in a loss is just testament to the GOAT at his vintage best.

Thanks for the video and summary. You're a great speaker. Very easy to follow. Unfortunately, the match got cut off once the first set finished here in the UK so I missed the rest of the match lol. The BBC aired another event. (They tend to do that because of the many events, but it was a little annoying lol). I'm happy for Nole for the win, and Carlos for having a fantastic couple of months. I love seeing the emotions both players displayed. Passion at its best. You're right. Some of the shots he was getting back was incredible. I believe if he broke Nole in that first set, then he would've taken it. But it was Djoko's day. I remember when Bolt won his final gold in the Olympics, he said his motivation went straight down. He had no desire to continue so he retired. I wonder if Djoko feels the same way. Only time will tell. Whatever happens I'm so happy I watched him throughout his career alongside Fed, Rafa and also Murray battle it out. They were so memorable. It's funny as my younger brother is just starting to get into tennis but I tell him he's missed the golden era. He responds by talking about Carlos and Sinner. Maybe he has a point. We may be entering into yet another super era :)

Not really true. You should go back to Alcaraz's comments in 2023 regarding the ATP Final. The ATP Final held in Torino at a higher altitude is the fastest surface in the tour. And Djokovic just loves it by winning twice already since it was held in Torino. He just couldn't get used to it and he admitted that he had to work on that after his defeat by Djokovic.

Kinda hilarious how much trouble Stephen is having giving Djokovic unfiltered praise 🤣 "Alcaraz could've played another notch higher", "Alcaraz couldn't find his absolute best level", "Alcaraz would've won if it was best of 5", "Alcaraz would've won if it was on a faster surface" -- bro, you're embarrassing yourself. Fact is, Djokovic found prime Djokovic somewhere, at 37, with a still-healing meniscus tear, and, by the slimmest of margins, he's better than prime Alcaraz. Don't make excuses for Alcaraz. Along with Sinner, he'll dominate the tour for years to come, but - despite a tiebreak error or two - this was max Alcaraz. To not see that is just selective blindness.
@keshavsharma5406
@keshavsharma5406 Ай бұрын
Without taking away from Alcaraz' undisputed greatness, it's worth mentioning that there's a very real chance that the Slam count would be 28-1 instead of 24-4. Novak missed AO (allowing Rafa to win) and USO with the vax ban, allowing Alcaraz his first. Then the meniscus tear robbed him of a chance to compete against Alcaraz at the FO, and compromised his level at Wimbledon, leading to the only one-sided loss in the GOAT/baby GOAT rivalry. Still hoping there's more to come, though it will take a superhuman effort to summon the willpower to keep competing at this level after cementing his legacy as GOAT. Maybe #25 will still keep him motivated, to pass Margaret Court...at least, I hope so! Would be a shame to retire as World #2 and the only real competition to Jannik and Carlos (alongside hard-court Medvedev).

Did you notice what the Joker was doing the entire game? He was forcing Carlos to return with back hand returns every chance he got. Carlos is a great player but he does have problems when he has to back hand a return. That might be the only flaw in the 21 year old's game. Novak took advantage if that. At least that is how I saw it.
