How to Pan Micro Fine Gold with a 98% Recovery Rate!

In todays Gold Prospecting video I show you all my top tips and tricks and methods we use for panning micro fine gold when contending with heaps of ultra heavy blacksands, ironsand, garnets and other minerals. I use a pan absolutely loaded full of almost 50% heavys that is mixed in with a huge variety of fine gold to demonstrate the effectiveness of these techniques. I don't claim to know everything about panning micro fine flour gold, however this method has worked best for me.

Hi, Have you tried panning in the Waiau river in North Canterbury? The Hope river which flows into the Waiau was worked in the 18800s. I have also found a small creek where most of the heavies are garnet....

Hey there, I haven’t really panned there no, I have heard about that and how there were traces up there, just have never looked myself, there does look to be some very good bedrock below the Waiau gorge as well, so maybe it could be worth a mission one day if allowed. Cheers

I agree, yes it does, however it’s not something we have used more than once or twice just as it can be toxic and isn’t as easily accessible as it needs to be to be a viable option for everyone.
