It has cracked me up about moss balls being pets just like the pet rocks of the '70s 😂😂 Then Father Fish told us this hilarious story about how the people of Japan would roll up these balls of moss and sell them to us in the US 😂😂 Whatever it is it was my very first plant was a moss ball. Then Jason told me about hornwort 😂 And it's been on every sense 🌿💚🌿 The Nano Nook is perfect 😁👍♥️ And definitely Green Acres😂 🎵🎶🎵🎶Green acres is the place for me... Faaaaaarm living is life for me.. land spreading out so far and wide.. Forget Manhattan just give me that countryside 😂😂🎵🎶🎵🎶👍 I don't know if I got that totally right but it was playing in my head 😂😂😂 I absolutely love the tutorial of planning the Moss ball 👍😂😂😂💚 cute furry balls of fun 😂💚 Great tip on letting them chill out I did not know that😁 Another great video Joanna I really enjoyed it!! And you guys... Bravo on your editing!! Hope y'all are having a great weekend! Thank you for sharing 🙏💚👍🌿🐟🌿

I got 3 small ones. I have only had them a few months. But I really enjoy them. They are in a small glass jar.. I change the water every week and roll them after the squeeze. I also drop in some ice cubes. I put in some carbonated spring water every other week. I have a wooden spoon by their jar and when I walk by a few times a day I stir them to get them to roll around. They are in bright indirect light. I think in the summer time I will try the fridge to cool them down. Thanks for posting a fun video

Moss balls are great for shrimp and fry. They provide lots of little nooks for smaller critters to hide in, good for aquascapes, and moss balls trap food + give surface area for the grazers.

I have some huge clear cookie jars they would be cool in, one with a betta and grow out for fry, but will snails eat them since theyre an algae? I haven't had a problem ( malaysian trumpets). Smaller snails probably help clean out the nooks and crannies then fertilize. Bigger ones might be a problem if they are "hungry".

This women, bless her is talking out of her hoop!!!!! “Moss balls” Marimo is a rare growth form of Aegagropila linnaei in which the algae grow into large green balls with a velvety appearance. The species can be found in a number of lakes and rivers in Japan and Northern Europe. Colonies of marimo balls are known to form in Japan and Iceland, but their population has been declining!!!!! It’s very hardy in all freshwater tanks!!!!!
