Except you don’t actually earn that little as a NSMen? It’s prorated to what you’re actually earning at your current job. And even as a NSF, it’s not that hard to survive on $145 per week, considering at least one of your meals is already provided, more if you’re staying in.

The current NSF pay is around 600+, i think 630, not 500+. The change happened in Feb 2020 where they increased the pay for NSFs.
