Not the notes that are special. Its the man who plays them. Can’t teach heart and soul in school. What makes this that much more remarkable is the solo is not particularly complex conceptually - which just adds imo tho the unimaginable beauty and beast of this solo.One of my favorites in jazz. If you met Roy - this solo imo is who he was: authentic and real.

+David Polansky Same. I also notice that almost every time an A comes up, it's natural and has to be notated as such. Only a few instances involve an A-flat as noted in the key signature. I honestly don't see where he got Eb from.

+EndlessEnigmaPart3 at the time I did the transcription I saw the G7b9 as the dominant leading to C minor, hence the 3 flats. The C minor is Dorian, so yes the key signature should be 2 flats.

True, piano and trumpet are in different keys, but the key is still wrong. If the key signature was written in A Minor/C Major (concert) then their would be two flats instead of three (C Minor/ B Flat). This is what the score should have. If their was three flats in the key signature for trumpet, the key would actually be D Minor or F Major. One too many flats ;)
