My husband once erased my pictures from a camera card. We went to a specialty photo development shop and they retrieved all the pictures on it. They charged us approximately $50, but it was worth it, because it had our 4 kids' birthdays and Christmas pictures, vacations, etc. If you still have that card, Granger, it would be worth it to find out if someone can get it back for you. I hope that helps!

Check your cloud Granger.....for video. if not there (but it should be) make should your camera is link to your cloud as future back up. But you should be using the cloud to storage your vldeos for editing; that way you don't have worry about getting a disk (so past se)...lol... .to editor and only thing he/she just need is access.

Ive done that before & now I get the mico SD cards to put in a regular SD Card, then if anything happens to the housing of the "normal SD" card I just slide out that mico SD card & can put in into another "normal SD" card holder.

The data should be still on the card. As it's getting hot it would be a component on the voltage control circuit that is damaged be it the LDO, a resistor or capacitor. Any hobbist 'maker' should be able to test and replace for you
