89 Suzuki 750 Intruder. 100,000 miles basic. Simply loved it. You are coming right along with the Spyder. The stuff you go through. You sure you ain"t got a genie hidden in a bottle in that shop? Lol. Cold today. Much better tomorrow. Stay safe and keep the hands free of STUFF!!!😂

I had a 1977 BMW R100/7 that was plain Jane. Tach, Speedo, electric start. Changed my own fluids simply. No fancy electronics to distract me. Took that think to many BMWMOA rallies in various states. Never let me down. Hit a deer with it, got it repaired, rode some more. Aw memories!

Best bike I ever had was a '78 Honda CB-750 with ignition points, adjustable valves, and carburetors. Simplicity and easy for a shade tree mechanic to keep it running. And if it had a problem on the road it was likely you could fix it and ride home.

So true. Going back to basics. Too much tech that doesn't always work.

Exact reason I bought a 2024 Royal Enfield Super Meteor. DIY friendly screw and lock nut tappet adjustment but the safety of anti-lock brakes.

Man that Spyder is coming along good. Hear you on simplicity….but it’s unlikely I will see that in the Spyder world, and I do love the Spyder’s 😊. Have a great one👍

I have a 17RTL just like the one you are working on in Asphalt grey color. It has been a great Spyder for 4yrs now and 32000 miles I have put on it. Keep up the good work and great videos. Enjoy watching 👍🤓

Finally caught up! Been engrossed in Ecoflow products, screwed up invoicing and shipping. As well as planning for solar here at the casa. Anyway favorite bikes, 69 AT1 Yamaha, 72 XS1B Yamaha 650 (Bonnie clone), 72 FLH, 73 DT1, 73 RT 250, 74 DT 360. And of course my 2012 Spyder RT. Glad you got that poor RT cleaned up, with the story behind them I’d say it speaks volumes to how tough they are. Anyway great vid as always! Be well Smoaks!

My old 1100 Katana with its twin swirl combustion chamber and flat slide carbs. There is my first bike which was a Honda SL175 trail bike. You couldn't get much simpler.

I am a fan of the simple bike days. Just started a restoration on a bike i wanted since before I could ride legally and never had. 1985. Pretty simple overall. Looking forward to getting it on the road. Too bad about the BMW situation but if the business can't make money there is really no choice.

I sold a few GB 500s, and had one as a demo back in 1989,,,I'm pretty sure they were a kick start only, hard to remember. A Black-Green color, think over seas they were called a "Clubman ". I love simple, lol, that's why I like the Royal Enfield and my Road King.

Can you please please give me some insight I have a can of RT limited 2024 I am having inaccurate fuel gauge readings I will fill it up sometimes it is a 120 mi sometimes it is safe 110 sometimes it is say 189 you get the point then I could be riding it and it gets down to 60 miles before fuel and then I see this ----with the fuel light coming on then sometimes the fuel light to come on at 50 miles none of it seems accurate. Thank you in advance
