I know this is a year late but I just wanted to thank you for not including garbage, trash or junk in the title of this build. I feel it diminishes the art of scratch building especially when it comes to sci-fi. I’m glad you mentioned that you go to the store to get items, I find that cruising through the hardware store the craft store and even the dollar store provides inspiration for future scratch builds. Thanks again and nice work

What a heap of junk! I love it. Great video and build Brian. Your speeder feels very in universe, like a B-Wing or a speeder from movie 8. My thought is that your engine intakes make the speeder look like it is flying backwards - at least from a certain point of view. The base and scene really work for it and if we could vote for your project I would give it second place, narrowly beaten out by the Jawa speeder. This sort of collaboration is a great thing and I hope to see many more fantastic projects and videos from you.

Hmmm….I’m not sure where my vote went. So, let’s try this again…… 1: Most Creative Back Story. My vote goes out to The Nerdy Maker for his Z77 Super Skiff. Sounds like a story line you’d see in an Extended Edition, or Directors Cut, BluRay release of ANH or ESB. 2: Most Creative Use of Materials. I’m a bit torn here. First off, Wayne Bakken’s conversion of a Cheerios box into Grogu’s new speeder is brilliant. Pretty certain I would not have come up with that approach. Second off, Thomas Marchese’s speeder uses styrene, foam, model parts, and more to make a really cool looking scratch build. I really love the workings under the exposed panels. I think Thomas just edges out Wayne here. 3: My Favorite Overall Speeder has to go to James’ (Rebel Base Build) Sand Searcher. Great back story, amazing scenery, Jawas, and overall build quality. I was completely sold when I saw the sub-miniature greeblies (control panel, droid socket, crates, and more). Brilliant job James.

Modeler's TIP: Don't be afraid to use "SHEET ALUMINUM" to make "Dented" metal parts like body panels, fenders, fuel tanks, etc. It adds "REALIZM" to your models! This can be done two ways... Either glue together 3 to 5 sheets of simple aluminum foil and/or aluminum soda/beer cans. What's nice about using the cans is that that they already have a "Natural Curve" to them! :D

Boss I loved you concept ,and say how you never grown up , and how you've always want to design your own vehicles and know I may get stoned for this but I've always wanted to build a star wars / star trek cross over ,can you see the falcon with warp engines like the enterprise? People dont hate me , but it's all about being creative right and its sci fi and outer space who's to say there paths didnt cross !!!
