I am Croatian and bigger problem with Canadian coach is that he is neither good coach or gentleman. You are forgetting one very important fact about him. He woke off the field after the game, not shaking hands with Croatian coach. I guarantee you, if he stays coach of your national team, you will not ( again) advance from your Group. Period.

As a Canadian Croatian, what most of these ladies don't get except for the 2nd one from the left, Melissa Grello and obviously PinBall Clemmons is that Herdman made Canada look immature and arrogant!! You don't trash talk when you're the underdog while also coming off as a total bully. Plus totally disrespecting a small but very proud nation/people. If it was another country other than Croatia there would've been much larger repercussions. Canada thought they can pick on the small ones and learned the hard way who f,ed who!! 4-1. It speaks of a very entitled attitude that's grown in Canada especially since Trudeau came to power. Too woke going broke

I get what he meant but still, it's the " NATIONAL TEAM " and this attitude is not a football thing especially on international level and iin managerial positions running a squad worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Nobody uses " that " language to express hype and motivation in football, even if You win You're a loser. Finally, he didn't shake Croatian coach's hand and that no shake is another slip that confirms he's way off
