Dr Ayushi you are doing a great job. But please bring more experienced doctors. She is giving mostly generalised answers. Nothing specific to what family medicine actually is for some who is not able to decide whether to take it or not.
@LogicalIndian-vx6uc5 күн бұрын
Family Medicine is not General Internal Medicine, it’s much wider but less in depth except in common conditions. So, one can say they are specialist in common conditions, be it medicine or surgery. They should be able to fully take care of all health services at secondary care level.

I have a doubt.. Is community and family medicine same as PSM or different..as aiims has no separate psm and family medicine in their pg posts
@rockyhandsome25402 ай бұрын
It’s different sir. Community medicine is like based more on very general study of disease mostly prevention rather than treatment and also more of epidemiology and research while family med is proper diagnosis and treatment of disease

A community health center generally has 4 spcialist posts...Of medicine pediatrician obsgynae and anesthetist and 2 gdmo (mbbs).... Our health system needs restructuring and reorientation........ And also going to rural area and serve there is in itself a very challenging task.... No proper housing , no educational avenues for kids if one decides to settle there and finally security ..three most important factors influencing doctors decision to settle in rural area....... And government has failed to adress these factors....Our own departments don't help and will not to anything to address these issues... Leadership and policy gaps in our profession .... Those making policies for rural health infrastructure haven't themselves served there, and probably don't understand the complexities of rural healthcare....

@@amanshrivastava6208 The most bakwas job is to be a MO actually. It's not becoz it exist in peripheries but it's becoz of local politics, unstructured work there, uncivilised mob. Yes we can't survive there for sure But but but Big crunch here is this now the era of superspeciality in cities even in tier2,3. So the family physicians, paediatrician, obg, gen medicine and gen surgeons have scope or I would say better scope in only towns in terms of recognition and earning and cool lifestyle becoz that uncivilised mob love also a lot when they get belief in a doctor. In cities the people always very mistrustfull towards doctors
