A small detail when you go Norse as Sweden, you will later get an event that changes your culture to Norse as well. It will instantly convert all Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Icelandic to Norse culture. It will also change so that the number of Carolines is based on Norse culture instead of Swedish. But when you form Scandinavia (North sea empire) you get a mission that improves the Carolines but unfortunately it is bugged so the mission is based on Swedish and Finnish culture instead of Norse and Finnish. Just so you know.

Wish they had revisited the norse part of Scandinavia with the last dlc, changed it into a mission with either catholic or norse option in mission tree like how you choose zoro, shia or sunni with the Persian tree, make it so the AI always choose the catholic branch or a 5% norse chance or smthn.

Remember to Integrate Norway before getting 100% religious unity, to assimilate all Scandinavian cultures into Norse. That way you get full Carolingians out of your Danish, Norwegian and Icelandic provinces.The Norse ideas (though worse than the Scandinavian) also stack shock damage nicely when combined with the carolingians.

He really should dev a province (capital) to 30 after 1450 asap. It gives you a really fast rennaissance, an age objective, (with ren embraced a second one) to get the ae reduction really early. It also solves a lot of economic issues. just use adm and dip mana if there is a big war in the earlygame and you need miltech. Use dip and mil if you need to core a lot. It´s really strong with almost every nation. Having rennaissance embraced pays the cost of deving really quickly.

I had a similar idea, but with Gotland - Denmark - North Sea Empire. Since you're getting nice bonuses like reduced liberty desire for all countries. This is especially useful for Sweden.
