Dude it’s really op, especially if you go into monastical order path and go full defensive, you can get finland-afghanistan wibes by killing you enemies without fighting them. I got average 120 defensivnes without being albanian or coptic caucasian. I’m just addicted to this type of play, and understand why people love certain gov types.

Nah the real meta is to go full siege build, then get one of the stateless societies like Koho or Jarai as march. Then you can siege your enemies forts in like 30-50 days, then hand over those forts to your march and watch your enemies try to smash their heads against Koho's ungodly 130% fort defense (in a farmland province). Or you can just literally shift-click every provinces that you've taken and hand them over to Koho, because even taking unfortified provinces back take your enemy's fort defense into account. Do this while attacking Russia and see the Russians take 60 days to take back a single 4 dev Siberia province with 40k men lmao.

The developers just updated Laith, so he became rehydrated. The power must be overwhelming and over 9000 (heh 😉) Tip: Theres an event that makes your regent the queen, so the bad event doesnt even fire which is great. I love that one personally. Also Sino-Korean exists, I did that and it was fun. Got 300 ducats per month as Korean China. Wouldnt mind seeing more.

I recently did a dai viet campaign both in eu4 and in viccy 3. Very interesting region to play in especially In eu4 since you're strong but you have strong neighbours too. Also it's just satisfying to consolidate the region and become a thick blob from west to the starting east coast

They get an event within the first few months which gives the option to convert to Confucian with Mahayana harmonised for free. With them having the monument of Hue, it's a fun way to go with them.
