@@ayberk3888 Not really, aside the language being from Asia. The culture was also very different. The Turkish sultan’s had haram’s, something they copied from the Chinese and Arabs. Along with eunuchs, another Chinese custom that copied by the mongols as well. Most of the food was a copy of Persian and Arab cuisine. Along with rice dishes from Central Asia. Alcohol is also forbidden in Islam, so there goes Roman wine drinking traditions. Also pork is forbidden, the reason Christianity allowed the consumption of pork was because there was no way they would have otherwise convinced the majority of Romans who were fond of pork to have converted. These are just a few of differences. They did pick a few things from the Romans but to say they were Rome is lying to oneself. And I consider the same of the Germanic cultures that also claimed to be the successors of Rome. They weren’t Roman either.
