By some miracle I only missed three. Also, that description didn’t do Vib-Ribbon justice at all! It was one of the most cleverly programmed games ever designed. You see, Vib-Ribbon’s art style was the result of the fact that the software was so minuscule that it could be downloaded directly into the playstation’s ram. Because it was so small, in place of a game disc, cd’s could be inserted into the console and Vib-Ribbon would procedurally generate levels for the music on them. It was an incredible bit of software engineering.

A bit surprised Shatterhand (SNES) didn’t make it onto the list, given the game’s title. How do I know about Shatterhand? Because I’m a tokusatsu fan. It’s actually the de-brand-ified US/European release of a platformer called “Tokyuu Shirei Solbrain”, an officially licensed game based on the _Metal Heroes_ season of the same name by Toei Company. In the original game you play as SolBraver, but for Shatterhand the sprite was replaced with a more generic, less armored man and all instances of the Solbrain logo were removed.

I knew about all of these games... because of spending about 3 years of my life reading through what might be the, and definitely is one of the, longest forum threads I've ever found on the internet. "games you remember playing, but don't remember the names of" or something along those lines. It's one of the most interesting reads out there.... but... good lord is that thread LONG. And it's somehow, miraculously, STILL ACTIVE, at least last time I checked which was only like a year or 2 ago. It's one of those things I really, REALLY would've figured would be replaced by like, a subreddit or something by now. But no. It's just this forever long thread of 1-2 line posts for 99% of it describing the most obscure games ever really badly. ...and the occasional really well known game, also described really badly.
