Yes they are and perhaps older. Muqdisho is an ancient city and a lot of our architecture was destroyed by Italians. And the British did the same in northern Somalia, many ancient mosques were destroyed. The colonialists want us to believe we had nothing. The architecture in Muqdisho even matches architecture in coastal eyl and old time images in bosaso.

Yemeni merchants settled in the north, Berbera particularly. My mom had indian and Yemeni neighbours. Therefore exchange in language (Yemeni dialect) is expected. (A lot returned to their countries due to the war). Northerners have more Arabic loan words than other Somalis but Bedouin (miyii) northerners use much less (they use Somali equivalents).

It's Stupid to go to a dangerous city, Mogadishu, I have no beef or ill intentions to my brothers and sisters of Somalia, we are two different countries, and that unity will never happen. Las Anod belongs to Somaliland, Erigavo is Somaliland, Burco is Somaliland the second capital city of Somaliland, Berbera is Somaliland, Hargeisa is the capital of Somaliland, Gabiley is Somaliland, Boroma is Somaliland, and Zeila is Somaliland. I have to respectfully disagree with some of the things you've said. First of all, I don't think it's "stupid" for people to visit Mogadishu or any other city in Somalia, even if there are risks involved. I think many people visit Somalia because they have a connection to the country and its culture, and they want to support local businesses and communities. Secondly, I don't think it's helpful to assign blame or hatred towards certain regions or clans within Somalia. We should be working towards understanding and respecting all of Somalia's diverse communities. It's also important to acknowledge the role that external factors, like foreign interference and colonialism, have played in exacerbating conflicts within the country. At the end of the day, I think the best way to address the challenges facing Somalia is through dialogue, cooperation, and a shared commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous future for all Somalis.
