Great video, and thanks for the trip down memory lane! I was playing electro-mechanical games in the mid 70's. I mean the few real video games back then were stuff like Gun Fight '75 and 280Zzap, which were pretty bad timed games. If you didn't like pinball (which I didn't), the EM games were your only decent option in an arcade. Wish I could remember the names. I loved the ones that had projected images that you would shoot with a rifle.

The older games were just simple fun. Motor skills, perception, vision. Glad you enjoyed!

wait if opium is a drug how is it racially incentive
@vvarietyshow4 жыл бұрын
Good question Danny. Racism can be very subtle, it's not always very blatant. In this case, opium dens were often seen as an inherent blight on the Chinese community. They were looked down on and it was seen they were often drug addicts in dirty laundries. That machine sort of pushes that narrative. Racism is a spectrum so perhaps the creators were not trying to specifically attack the Chinese immigrants, but it can be interpreted that way. Racism isn't always insulting someone or doing something bad to them, sometimes it can be as simple as pushing a negative stereotype in media.
