I also grew up watching Benny Hill. I used to watch it with my granny after Sanford & Son haha. I feel blessed to have been brought up on amazing comedy, amazing hip hop, and amazing art in general. There's so many clever lines that I love and all of his voices etc etc. Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Sanford & Son, Gomer Pile, I love Lucy, Golden Girls, etc...my granny and I used to sit up and laugh. I couldn't have been more than 4 y/o (b. 1985) but I remember it all vivdly. Humble beginnings haha.

I grew up watching Benny Hill dubbed in Latin Spanish and I adored it. In my 20's I could watch the show in English and loved it too. Such a talented man with a greater troupe and also a very educated and learned person as he seems on the documentary about his life. I hope some day somebody makes a movie about his life, it would be very interesting.

i can't tell if you're being sarcastic as Benny Hill is a parody to other comics such as Python, Kenny Everett . No you can't find lame bland predictable skits but you can find genius' like Spike Milligan and his cohorts. Benny's there for chubby old men chasing young topless girls - comedy genius

I completely agree, it's rare to find comedy like this today. The way Benny Hill could make people laugh with such simplicity and timing is truly a lost art. It’s amazing how his humor still resonates with people even after so many years. What do you think makes his comedy stand the test of time so well?
@HeartfeltMomentsTGG

I totally get what you mean! Comedy like this is hard to come by nowadays. Benny Hill had such a unique style that made everyone laugh, no matter the age. Do you think that kind of humor still holds up today, or has comedy evolved too much for this kind of show to work now?

Just finished watching an episode. Those were the days. Comedy was fun. Music was real. Songs you felt, that transported you to a special time, a special place, a special someone, a special event, WOW!!!. Thanx

Bob Todd, Henry MacGee, Jackie Wright, all perfect foils for Benny's humor. And Louise English and Sue Upton were stunning women.

Channel 20 WDCA (UHF. Remember UHF?) out of Washington used to show these 5 nights a week at 11 o'clock back in the early '80s. Watched it every night. Good times. Oh, yeah! Diana Darvey was out-of-this-world beautiful, too!

I loved watching Benny Hill's shows; they were so silly! Not the absolute humor I have seen since, but most definitely a good place to start. With great affection to Benny Hill and his fabulous crew I send my apologies (because sometimes I'm funny too.)

I remember my dad would pass out in his arm chair and there I’d be, supposed to be in bed, but right in front of the TV watching Benny Hill instead. And I turned out ok!

I'm sure Mr Hill had as much fun doing this as we did watching it. He was always smiling, his eyes so expressive. I really thank him for being part of a happy childhood. And thank you for posting.

Mr. Hill definitely made his mark. Great laughs, even many years later. Love the skits, the talentless talent show, the play on words... funny.

I loved Benny Hill when I was a child. It's so funny. .....on this episode when I saw the character in "black face," I nearly fell off my chair. The crowd of 2024 would be in apoplexy. LMAO 😂❤
