I really like these tutorials that you do. You are good at finding all the important features in apps.it would be cool if you did demos of all the stuff you find in this app. It's complex enough that people will need videos like this to help them get unstuck. Thanks for a good one.

Thanks for the video. I’ve had this program for some time and the last version as well. One of my complaints about BeatMaker is them changing the interface setup, so much so that one has to almost relearn BeatMaker all over again

Great overview tutorial. Apart from using beat maker3 as a sampler it seems that korg gadget is a lot easier to use and does exactly the same things particularly as a sequencer or am I missing something?
@havokcc
@havokcc 7 жыл бұрын
The synths from korg gadget are very nice, but I don't like the workflow, its very basic. Beatmaker looks better in that aspect in my opinion, its very similar to a desktop daw
@lukewilliams7020
@lukewilliams7020 7 жыл бұрын
Jose Pablo Gómez sometimes simpler is better. I know what you mean but i almost think that that is gadgets power. It looks simple but it is actually very powerful. That's an achievement to make software that does that. Bm3 is very very buggy at the moment and takes a lot more clicks to do simple things that gadget does simply.
@havokcc
@havokcc 7 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right about gadget, i love how you can get a music progression very easily and everything flows very naturally. I have noticed several buggs with BM3 too. But i think that this app have some potential, i really liked that they included song and scenes view, that you can use other time signatures than 4/4 and how can you load other apps as audio units. But i guess that gadget is still my favorite to sketch song ideas.
@lukewilliams7020
@lukewilliams7020 7 жыл бұрын
Jose Pablo Gómez honestly I'm still in two minds as to which is the better workflow for me. Either using bm3 as a daw hosting gadget. Or gadget as a daw hosting sliced samples from bm3s sampler. Gadget is sooo fast to sketch out a song even to quite an advanced stage with super high quality sounds. The cons are the audio track and sampler being very limited and not being able to use other outside instruments. Using bm3 as the daw with gadget as an au has the advantage that you can host other AUs and have a much larger sound bank and obviously with a super advanced sampler too. So I've been thinking that I may try it that way for a while and se how it goes. But I don't have a super quick work flow in bm3 like with gadget so no matter how good the sampler is and better audio tracks it has it's all about what gets you to the final result more effectively. And I think gadget does that. The layout of the arrangement page in gadget is so smooth compared to bm3 which is clunky and the arrange page is where all the magic happens. But I do see the potential if they iron out all the many bugs. If gadget had au support and you could host bm3 in there then that would be my decision made. Use the clean interface of gadget with the power sampler of bm3 as an au. Confusing....

The main difference with Korg Gadget is that it is a closed system. Impossible to load other synths into Korg Gadget. Compare Propellerhead Reason to Ableton Live

I’m having an issue using „Synth one from AudioKit“ on BM3 with my ipad pro. As I load synth one, it shows that it’s linked to mb3 but it only shows the key pads and not the entire app. I click the three knobs taping on show plug in and still shows only the Keyboard. Do I have to set up something on bm3 ? Thanks in advance!

hey man. i recently made a few melodies on beatmaker 2. i exported them as audio files so i can chop it up and make a beat on fl studio. i chopped it up but when i hit the keys on the midi keyboard/ play pattern mode or even play it in the channel rack it wont play the sound/melody it just rumbles. but when i open the sound it self where that box pops up to edit it itll play the melody/ sound. i dragged and dropped the chop in to the pattern/song mode . instead of being 2-4 bars wav file , it ended up being like 96 bars of just low rumble. how can i fix this? bc when i do this to any other apps sounds i dont have this problem.

I also seem to be having alil issue with using beat marker 3 and opening beathawk and recording with midi mini mpk 2 it seems to freeze and the sound only works for a few secs and then no sound comes out ? I even had the entire app close before going through the same process when I select plugin option on beat maker 3 and selecting audio units v3 and selecting beathawk once I start using my midi keyboard the sound will completely stop working . Is there somthing I'm doing wrong? I noticed once I hit the last c key on the left on the keyboard everything starts messing up . Midi is working 100% fine if I don't use beathawk as a plugin .

Why are the sound packs I've seen for beatmaker 2 not available in the store for 3?
@VictorSteiner
@VictorSteiner 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this sucks. I bought a lot of soundpacks from Puremagnetik for Ableton Live, but importing everything via dropbox takes long and isn't hassle-free. Is there a way to batch-import hundrets of sample snippets? Maybe via iTunes file sharing?

I tried to work on that song some more and ran into a problem. My new bank is greyed out in song view and no matter how much I record and delete I never hear anything. Sometimes there are no notes after recording but when I click in the "grooved" area in the track midi notes appear in the zoomed in view. Very strange.
