Short bow has a combo: jump shoot land shoot. It's faster than roll shoot. There's also a run shoot that comes out different. Love the concept of this video. The paintings aren't usually my priority.

I wanna do a bow only run so much, but either mounted (if torrent is summonable) or with summons fatrolling (you only lose 1 and it's extra hilarious to try and hit heavy rolls with a shortbow and nl other weapons)

For the redmane painting at 01:40, you can use the horse jump boost (before dropping down) and with an mid air jump, you can just fall down there with torrent without dying. I found this trick from the wiki and its really useful, so i thought i should share this, because dropping down there normally is just annoying.

For fire giant, in the second phase, his weak point is his eye, and you can lock onto it from a distance since you used a bow. He is also weak to bleed, so using the bleed arrows would have been easier. otherwise, this was an amazing run my dude, love it. gained a new sub

I think vagabond is an exceptionally good character for challenges like these. He is very versatile, has a good starting gear and his stats are nice and could be changed to a faith or intelligence build since he only has an only 1 point in each missing. Only real problem is arcane but frankly, I rarely see someone going for arcane build in challenges

I find it to generally be easier to play souls-like games with a M&K. Remapping controls is extremely important though; their defaults are awful, and make poor use of the mouse in general. The only thing I find harder is getting the lock-on to behave when fighting a group, but I stuck it on a mouse button and spam click it until it actually targets the right thing (because spell free-aim sucks).

Runs like this go to show, that any build really is viable in Elden Ring. It might take you a lot longer, but even if you completely borked your character it really does just come down to learning the bosses patterns first and foremost.

A quick personal advice: Don't show your fights where you just barely die when the boss has little hp left at the start/middle of a video segment. What I mean: It felt like you showed your second phase malenia attempt where she has like 10% hp left so early it removed the suprise factor. Try keeping those close moments for the end of the segment. Maybe you could work more on building tention by not revealing instantly that you managed to beat the boss, but by keeping it in question until the very end :P Excellent video though I enjoyed it a lot wp

Idk why some people say bows are under powered. You get so much of an advantage being able to have very long range and still do decent damage. It shouldn't be as powerful as it was in DS1 or 3 unless they made them more balanced by giving short bows less range and make long bows shoot slower, then you can up their damage.

when doing runs like this normally you would only allow yourself the most minor of brakes so that the run can function in this case that would be basic arrows and the basic seal for casting. you allow yourself poison and fire arrows then you go and get one of the seals with some of the best scaling in the game. so to answer your question no you cant beat the game using only painting rewards
