It’s open to interpretation but my take was that the rhino warriors are disguising themselves as waiters. The killer service is them revealing themselves and going wild - sacrificing the token (since it comes with food) is them throwing the food down in the reveal. Maybe a bit too complicated but my mental image of it is GREAT so I’m sticking with it.

I know there are already a lot of misplay comments, but i wanted to make the world a better place by saying that 1) Great to see these decks in action! They look very goofy and thematic and fun 2) When you activate a Clue, Treasure, or Food, you also tap it so you would also draw a card if you hypothetically had a Betrayer of Flesh emblem

New decks. I understand the missed triggers and it's much easier to see when you're watching it versus when you're actually playing. However, not tracking commander damage bothered me. Jim let Seans commander hit him a bunch but never tracked the damage.

Brash taunter died to the massacre wurms -2-2 cause its a 1/1 so the 0 toughness gets around the indestructible and Jim could sac food at instant speed for hp and still would of won anyways

Jim, you have to pay 2 every time you make a rhino with killer service in addition to sacrificing a token. You had the mana most times but heads up for the future. Also, Alex and Fil using Boros Reckoner to kill Sean at the end would not work because Kessig Wolf Run gives trample. Even though Reckoner has indestructible, trample still sees lethal as 4 damage and the rest would trample over to Alex's life total. Only allowing the Reckoner to deal 4 damage.

Hey - so you have to assign damage with trample. I can't think of too many examples where you would want to do this outside of this scenario and Death's Shadow math but we imply that I assign all the damage from my creature to Boros Reckoner and 0 to Alex.

Trample is a "may". You can always assign more than lethal damage to a blocker if you like to. "If this creature would assign enough damage to its blockers to destroy them, you may (!) have it assign the rest of its damage to defending player or planeswalker."

Yes but there’s a lot of cards you can add that can remove the finally counters off your creatures and put them on your opponents creatures. This way if the cards you reanimate die they don’t get exiled. You can also use cards that exile your shit then bring them back after to remove the finality counters as well.

Gold isn't necessarily better than Treasure. For example, a Gold can't draw cards from tapping for mana with a Tezzeret emblem

He attacks Alex with Whisperwood Elemental, paying for Ghostly Prison. Fil blocks with Boros Reckoner. Both creatures survive combat. Reckoner triggers, targeting Jim, eliminating him from the game. Fill passes the turn. During his turn, Alex attacks Sean with Boros Reckoner. If Sean doesn't block the Reckoner, Fil uses his Kessig Wolf Run to pump up the Reckoner. If Sean does block, Fil uses KWR to pump the BLOCKING creature. Reckoner takes damage and targets Sean.

Noticed a slight misplay with the boros reckoner and it's that the reckoner would've only been able to direct 4 damage because kessig gives trample so the other 6 would've gone to Alex's face instead. Still a really cool game showing the precons in action though and I hope to see a 50 dollar upgrade version too!

With trample, you don't "have" to assign any excess damage to the player/planeswalker/battle being attacked. You can absolutely assign all of the damage to the blocking creatures if you want to. Most of the time, it doesn't make sense to do so, but in this instance it worked out better to not hit Alex with trample damage and to just assign all damage to the blocking creature.

All that mirko deck needs is some life gain cards because it has no way to get life back, a better mana base and a few extra counter/removal spells and it’ll be powerful asf. Even out of the box it’s really good.

Is it just me, or are these precon decks starting to power creep even further? I mean, these are nowhere near CEDH, but they are getting closer to a high proficient EDH decks. Just fine-tuning these precons a little bit, and you can sit down and compete in any non-CEDH table.

Not quite any non-cEDH table, but it's nice that they're powerful enough to compete with low to mid-tier average commander decks easily enough

They’re definitely pretty good and super fun with some amazing cards in them, but they’re still only power level 5. Low 6 at best. With an upgraded mana base, some extra/better counter spells/removal spells, and in the mirko deck some life gain cards, maybe a few of the creatures swapped out with better or more efficient ones, and they can easily be bumped up to power level 8 or even 9.

All the mirko deck needs is the land base upgraded with the dual lands that can enter in untapped, some fetch lands like polluted delta and prismatic vista, a few more of the 2cmc good mana rocks, shit like Swan song, mana drain/counter spell, deadly rollick, cyclonic rift, maybe a windfall and a few ways to remove or move the finality counters, rhystic study/propaganda and a few life gain cards like whip of erobos/blood artist, throw in at least a few tutors so it’s more consistent like entomb and demonic tutor, and it would 100 percent be power 8 or low 9.
