That's hectic it's mad cos my first tune to get me deeply into uk hip hop was task forces mftc vol 1 and the main track that did it for me was stranger on the shore it felt like Chester p knew exactly how I was feeling back then anway I'm from Luton home to these breddas, there from the informous marsh farm estate , I got I to these from the Lou slipperz ten pound bag mix tape they were quality phi were on it twice funnily enough one with Chester p but yeah I loved that whole period when they were actually really good at wat they did I test anyone to come up on stage with no songs to rap and out freestyle anyone from task Forse, jehst, phi , mud fam skinnyman they knew how to do it without rehearsed words

I know this is considered a classic, and I have a soft spot for PLC, but Life's verse is just a mess on this one. I doubt many will agree with me, but he's just doing far too much. He doesn't ride the beat, it's almost as if he's detached from it.

I doubt many will agree with you, he lands the end rhymes fluently and diverges from the beat confidently while cramming words in and adding extra patterns and interest in. It’s a bit thematically drifting but that’s a British hip hop thing.

@@johnhancock3051 You're right, he does land (most of) the end rhymes fluently, there are some exceptions. But you've kind of exemplified the problem I have with it by using the word "cramming". It's like he wrote the bars for a slower beat then struggled with the tempo in studio (something that used to happen to me a lot when I was trying to be a rapper). You can also hear him getting breathless which is pretty unacceptable for a studio recording.
