Newcastle are one of those teams I see either just making the finals or missing out. They rely heavily on Ponga and Bradman Best. I think Adam O'Brien is under a lot of pressure to keep his job, yes they have played finals but they end up being cannon fodder for the other teams. Newcastle are also in a 24-year premiership drought also and the best they have done since 2001 was making a preliminary final in 2013 where they got battered.

The Panthers are consistently good, the Tigers are consistently bad but the Newcastle Knights are consistently inconsistent.
