I'm very happy to leave a comment. My wonderful niece Dayna could not survive her injuries from the accident. You talked earlier that you have survivor's guilt and probably there are a lot more that are going to experience it in time. I believe that the ones that are still here are going to do great things in their lives, that's why they are still here. Guilt should have no room for anyone. It only corrodes the mind and spirit and ruins the greatness these young men already are. Please pass these words to your son and others affected by this accident. After all if anyone of us could have had some control over the out come things would look very different today. God Bless, stay safe

Audrey Hopfner i am so sorry for your loss. I read your comment and it made me smile. We need to have faith. But i think you missed part of it. Dayna and the others that did not survive were needed by God for whatever He needed them for. They are ok..they are safe and happy and do not feel pain. Us here we need to have faith and do our best to help eachother get through the loss of the awesome people who died

As a parent, I am completely empathetic about the emotional roller coaster of emotions. This should be a reminder to everyone to tell their love ones how they feel and hold them a little tighter.

It’s like no one can see that anyone who told their story about this “tragedy” smiled the whole time and not a single tear shed.

I hey we're hard to find, but many of us in Phoenix and over the states sat the hockey sticks out on the porch with the lights on all night. This was such a horrible tragedy, so violent the boys who weren't killed had terrible injuries. We're cheering for you all it was impressive that an incident in a rural area of Saskatchewan could receive such a massive amount of help so quickly. I don't understand why the truck driver left the safety of his stop sign to pull in front of the team bus. How could he not see the bus? If you all have any more tee shirts to sell please let me know, I'd like to buy a few, if they can be sent south.

Horrible tragedy, everyone feels the pain. Yes indeed someone made a serious error which could happen to any driver. I hope people are mature to show compassion for this truck driver. The trucking industry will have to change, safety above corporate greed is something to consider.

I’m a truck driver who was not trained properly those guys take money from us we sit through the day so that we can learn something but only to do a 25 mins training for the whole day in which you waited for more than 6 hours. Training is cheap so we do it and passed the test with luck but when you get the job in these companies where they pay you little to nothing and other good companies won’t hire you as they don’t want to give any training to new drivers. Then our company do tell us don’t sleep the load has to be deliver early and when you argue it’s unlawful to drive after certain hours then they say if the load is delayed then you have to pay for the late fees. And government do shit all. And by the way everyone sees it complains and next day lifes are back to the same way. I feel bad for the driver as he could be pressured or something must have went wrong with the load a big mistake by the new driver cost other there lifes and ruined his without any cruel intentions !!

As a truck driver you have to be constantly scanning your surroundings. The driver is clearly to blame

Hopefully new laws are made to better protect everyone, especially people that travel on bus service. No doubt the trucking industry has to change, since many poorly paid truck drivers operate on impossible tight schedules that ignore modern daily driving reality, especially with our climate. Canada does have massive corporate corruption, including the fast food industry,,,, these evil parasites import labor from every poor nation, safety is not a big concern,,, we are seeing a total decline in all standards. We should have compassion for the young foreign born truck driver since his life is forever changed, due to lax training & regulations that should of been a government priority long ago. Corruption is when corporations make the laws & regulations to enhance PROFIT,s at the expense of society. Personally I think maybe lawsuits that target the government are the way to see change. I truly admire the survivors, their families because any tragedy does change everyone. Corporate corruption is a great danger to society regardless the industry. Greed is the root of all evils.

When you go to India, it is recommended for your safety to avoid driving because they are real driving dangers. In the USA, they are entrusted with passengers, where is the problem? Love-Love !

The truck driver, as they said he had high education.. if I am approach on 3 numbers sign road to the 2 sign number road it isn’t not a rocket since to know what sign will have… he mist?!?!? Three sign!! Each sign’s each other out of the breaking distance…. And the bus driver’s.. he’ll knowns it’s a deadliest intersection a head of me… then he could see the truck approaches also!!! Why not slow down and put his foot on the break pedal.. 5 continents 42 countries I drove the truck no accidents… and that’s what I am teaching on the defensive class age 76 with ACMZ licenses .. and I know what happened there… not told well ..

As far as I'm concerned the driver should b charged with 16 charges of MURDER & causing bodily disabled. Give hin life x16. Deport him & the guy who hired him; they both knew the driver wasn't trained correctly Get rid of them so we don't have use our taxa 2 take care of him.(the driver was only a landed immigrant not a Canadian). When u deport them make sure immigration DOESN'T let them back in EVER AGAIN. (With the threat of prison hanging over their heads immigration will do their jobs better.

this was murder .. the government of Alberta denies qualified class one drivers from other countries instead choosing to employ unqualified drivers, in the same way they deny other trades from immigrants that they are qualified for so corporate greed can benefit from cheap labor.

Have you seen the scene of the accident? It was a highway intersection with a speed limit of 100kmph and a 2 way stop sign on the side of the road with a block of trees to obstruct vision. If anything, the blame should fall onto the person who designed the roads.

Lenalyn their is no excuse for the truck driver's gross negligance of the Bronco hockey team crash.i am a professional class one driver perfect drivers abstract 33 yrs with 2 million miles behind me . believe me when i say in the last ten years new class one drivers in alberta and saskawtwan lack of professional actions behind the wheel has put all canadains live's in danger of dieing behind the wheel at the hands of a under paid under qaulified class one driver

Corporate greed & political corruption is the greatest threat to all Canadians. We are seeing safety/ consumer standards go down, we are seeing jobs in all industries replaced by cheaper labor from people from foreign lands. When you have corporations setting policy, it is no wonder tragedy happens. We allowed American built buses that had no seat belts which itself is a crime.

Just how do you propose paying for this. To fly back and forth town to town several times a week (in most cases, less than a couple hour drive) to places with no airports. Think about that for a min
