thank you for this video! I was struggling with the worst vertigo/lightheadedness (I’m recovering from long covid and have had all the tests done and nothing is wrong yet everything feels so wrong). I started living my life again this week after being in bed for months and the symptoms have been way worse. I went to take a little break from playing games with family and was feeling so overwhelmed by how miserable I feel and then this was the first video that popped up when I opened KZbin. You help me so much every day and you don’t even know me. Thank you for what you do!

This brought so much comfort to me today. Last week was the first week of my recovery that I really felt like "Wow! This is actually working! I'm getting better." And lo and behold, this week has brought a cluster of disturbing new symptoms. Thanks to your channel, I had a heads-up that this might happen during recovery, but it has still felt fearful and terrible inside to navigate new symptoms. This video is so helpful to me in navigating this "dip" and trusting that my recovery isn't derailed and that it's instead a sign that healing actually IS happening. After almost five years of being able to manage my symptoms, all it took was one trip to the dentist when my symptoms were flaring up to set me back like this, and I'm so worried that I won't be able to work. I’m having a dip because I gave a workshop yesterday in a space with really heavy fluorescent lights which triggered a bad migraine. It’s okay to have a migraine, my body feels bad today, but this is what happens the day after a migraine 🤷🏻 Previously, I would have really really really freaked out. Now, instead of this, I emailed the workshop hosts to say that in future I’ll be bringing my own lamps… and the rest of the day will be spent resting and going for short, slow walks. It’s early autumn, the weather is nice, the nature is beautiful, I’m alive. That’s enough for today. Might cuddle my cat, might even smoke a little joint before bed 🤭😂❤

I too have been dealing with this exact thing for one month now and it sucks I force my self to workout thru most of it but sometimes it'll hit me like u just said right after the workout taking me a half hr at times to recover . Very scary stuff . I found that for some reason pull-ups don't trigger mine as bad so that's a good thing for me but push-ups and squats really cause bad symptoms . Praying we both recover sooner than later 🙏🏻

I was there dealing with the same thing but after watching Yonit’s videos and trying it out I managed to cure myself after 3 years of suffering. The best advice I can give you is to just believe what she is saying and don’t let doubt come ur way, what do you have to lose? Just believe everything she’s saying 110% and do what she says. I’m telling you after 3 years I managed to cure my pppd in 2 weeks. I mean 100% healed. My big leap moment was when I decided to do the hardest thing for my condition and just see what’s the worst that can happen. For me it was driving, and worst case was driving at night, one day I said well if dr yonit says there is nothing wrong then I believe her and I went on the longest night drive ever mean while doing the breathing technique she teaches. I did it for even 30 minutes after I came home to be safe. I waited and waited for the worst PPPD response but it did not come. Ever since that day I’ve been doing anything and everything, including roller coaster rides 🫣. Breathe before Breathe during Breathe after Do somatic tracking everyday and invite the bad feelings so you can track them (this reprograms your brain every time you do it )

Ive been working on vestibular issues 5 yrs feel off all day everyday, did vestibular therapy 4 different places. Unfortunately I now have a movement disorder called fnd.. a month after breaking my arm got pins plates put in. I have bad head tremors, which make my balance worse. Fnd has many symptoms. I'm my own advocate Drs are still learning about it. I need to retrain my brain like many others it's horrible symptoms are like ms or parkinson's it does not show up on the brain, which is great but that's why Drs do not know how to treat it. I go to phy therapy for strength, vestibular I do at home, I do meditation, cbt deep breathing. We are trying to make Drs & others aware of Fnd.. thanks love your posts 🙂
@TheSteadyCoach7 ай бұрын
Hi there! Many others here have the FND diagnosis! Don't worry, it's EXACTLY a neural circuit issue. This may not feel like good news but it is because this means it's a programming issue, not a hardware issue. It means you can get better.
@lynnnestor79857 ай бұрын
Oh brilliant Yonit🙌🙏 you’re language around description to become aware and allow is so on point. It imbibes a “no need to fix - nothing is broken” perspective. During dips my sense is that “trust” is what we become bewildered about. But trust is a process + like faith it can seem to take a life time. However, the foundation we need to build on is what alludes us during dips and that is “….where is my sense of safety?” This is for me at the bottom of all “fear”, esp during dips. You didn’t use the word “compassion” BUT your total message was ALL ABOUT compassion! That practice of softness, pausing, following the awareness + allowance. I like to feel into a moments relief and say “…….I am open to “receiving” more safety, more resilience, more peace in mind + body. I sit with this watching whatever arises and as you say allow it all. The biggest lesson for me is that all that you say eliminates a “resistance” framework which equals pain and prolonged suffering and if we instead just watch the emotion/energy in the moment without the stories/limiting beliefs and witness/observe the “raw energy” of fear, dizziness, pain, anger, thoughts, behaviour it will move through and out of the body so much faster. This is a solid demonstration to us that we are no longer attaching to the energy that causes such distress and instead “trusting” more that the body knows precisely what to do.
@TheSteadyCoach7 ай бұрын
YES! Beautifully described, Lynn!
@pezzano285 ай бұрын
This is so well said. Having compassion is my biggest struggle right now. Being at constant war with my physical symptoms and the emotional reaction to them (mainly anxiety) is the most exhausting and soul sucking feeling. Here's to finding compassion no matter where we are on this journey. 🙏
@lynnnestor79855 ай бұрын
@@pezzano28 😌 start with “kindness” + “forgiveness” to self + the compassion seems to come on line without “efforting”. I practiced “gratitude” well before compassion felt real. It’s the beat up on our ourselves through allowing the left side thinking brain to suck us in instead of choosing right brain peace. From this lens compassion feels way less fake.

I started by just driving short distances without a destination ir errand. Just driving. Go when there is less traffic and start when it is not raining. If you are afraid, ask a friend to take you to the mall sometime when it is closed and drive around. That way there is less fear and more safety. If you have visual symptoms skip it and work on it when you don’t have so many. I’m still working on that. Question about step 5- can u expound on "if i trusted myself what would i do?" I get stuck there b/c just getting up and doing what i want to do isn't an option (severe ME/CFS) I'm struggling to break it down smaller. What are some actionable steps when "action" isn't possible in the current dip? Hope that makes sense. I love this and want to use it but I'm getting stuck there. @TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach5 ай бұрын
Hi Rachel, examples could be extremely, extremely small. If the answer you get is "Run a marathon" or something equally out of reach for now, you want to keep asking, "And if I woke up this morning & felt ready to run a marathon, what is the VERY FIRST thing I would notice?" Keep chunking it down more and more until you get to a very attainable action step.
@rachelolson5 ай бұрын
@@TheSteadyCoach OK that's helpful. Is the question "if I trusted myself" the same as "if I trusted my body right now?" And could the answer ever be to just rest and trust b/c body is recalibrating? Something is not clicking for me with that question still... perhaps it's because I DON'T trust my body in a flareup to do the types of things I would do if I were not in a flareup?
