im on pc version and ive had the game for a few months and only ever seen 1 person up in that spot when i invaded and the idiot jumped down and got destroyed. not sure if he was trying to afk farm or luring people in to jump down and fight them.

I believe it's the effect of videos with a large number of views. Yesterday alone I fought several vyke hosts and phantoms with arcane mask like we were back in Spring 2022 or whatever. Those have to be people who looked those old vids up. These people look stuff up and have no actual idea what they're doing most of the time. I'd say the same goes for afk crap unless they're trolling. I think the vid that spread this stuff, the Liurnia one, has dozens of millions of views, maybe hundreds of millions because they're embedded it into every ER page.
