Thanks for that it's good to get inspiration from people . Thinking of making a video that is more like a Documentary? That features people who have made a difference in scootering, like dave webster and ian Franklin , Ray Kemp .

Hello Steve , a lot of useful information you are giving out , thanks . Your leakdown tester looks homemade, perhaps you could do a video of how to make one if you haven't already done so . Keep up the good work and thanks for posting .

Are those Reed blocks any good do they make much difference?
@TheSteelweasel2 жыл бұрын
The best my friend they improve engine response as they dont need to open as far for the same volume, so reeds open and close fast cos the distance is smaller. When it comes to reed valve bigger is always better

Steve will a lighter grade gearbox oil make a difference ? A 15 or 30w instead of a 90w ?
@TheSteelweasel2 жыл бұрын
Yes lighter oil will reduce mechanical loss and the correct level . Over filling will also rob power .
@martinknight86312 жыл бұрын
@@TheSteelweasel i'd be careful using thinner oil. many years ago i filled my LI 150 with car oil cus i was young and stupid. after a few hundred miles my gearbox was a metallic soup. gear teeth worn almost halfway through.
@TheSteelweasel2 жыл бұрын
@@martinknight8631 30 w is ok to use dont know what oil you had but im only using for a mile or so and then replace it , lambrettas are very durable and ive seen many of them running for months with no oil at all and the gearbox still had only slight ware ... but was a nice blue colour due to heat .... in the bin ha ha
