Cool little story for those that dont know. The guitar Jerry is playing on would ? was gifted to him by none other than eddie van halen. The guitar would eventually go missing for nearly 20 years until one day a friend of Jerry's saw it for sale online. About a month after that another friend of Jerry's also saw it online and bought it for $7000 and returned it to jerry. Jerry said he immediately called EVH to let him know he got the guitar back after nearly 20 years.

I was in rehab with Mike Star in 2010. We went to an AA meeting in a quiet church basement one night and the band had just finished practice in the chapel. I wandered in there with Mike and under this gorgeous dim-lit cathedral ceiling with blood red shag carpet, Mike asked to borrow a bass and started laying down lines from dirt and I sang a bit. The church guy had no idea who Mike was and just what we were being treated to, but I did. That's very special memory for me. God bless Mike and Layne. Jesus saves!

I am a old girl, from Washington State, who lived through all this madness. I love that on stage and during the interview, Layne or Link was laughing and chatting up... He is on another Realm but he knows we all still see him. I love this Group of misfits, love the music and Layne will live on... Cheers from Paradise...

@@malloryarroy9887 sorry if Layne was not there it is not AIC - I don't care what the ticket says - that was a once in a lifetime sound - when it is gone - it is gone . Thank you so much for this. This band is without question one those bands I deeply regret never seeing live and especially during this era. Their album "Dirt" just my opinion is one of the best hard rock albums of all time. It never gets old.

without a doubt my favorite album ever. No skips just let it play and get lost in it. I wasn't even alive when Layne was but I still find myself scouring the internet for videos of him. The man was by far and wide the coolest person in rock and roll in my book. Its like watching a friend you never had
@danaeloucaidou499110 ай бұрын
OK so I have to say that this "Them Bones" is the best ever! His voice in my humble opinion was and is still the best voice in rock music. Really unique. The new singer is just OK but his voice is not Laynes voice and perhaps its unfair to compare him. Laynes voice was insane

The reality is that all of us grew up and none of us really tried hard enough to change anything.

The internet ruined everything about the rock n roll business. The record companies knew it was coming and did nothing to protect the artists and their ability to stay legit and viable. If you look at each decade since the 50's, every decade gave us legendary rockers and memorable scenes...since the internet happened and the 2000's, what has it given us? Nothing and Nobody! If you you experienced the 80's and 90's music scenes like I did, hold on to those memories because there will never be anything like it ever again.
