for the budget friendly option go for a chain link fence. Should keep kids/pups inside. For the pretty buy more expensive factor go with a wooden fence. you can DIY it or hire someone. of course always cheaper to DIY and with so many family members would probably be done quickly but having the time is the problem. to hire someone the fence would be done in a day or two and no effort on your part except picking out what kind of fence you want and handing them the payment. We had a chain link fence and it held up well and no maintenance. no complaints with it.

When you first marry the tree is for you! When children come along its their tree! It may be in disarray with ornaments along the bottom. They may pull them off and play with them and put them back. Do this with both children as they grow. we have ornaments from baby's first Christmas to each year of school they make from school, football, ballerina etc. When they are grown you can gift them to them!

hate to say it as I know how much you look forward going to the Tree Farms but the real tree could be what's irritating Zade. We had to go with an artificial tree as allergies were out of control to the point that breathing was then affected.

We had to stop buying a real tree for this reason too. Our daughter, middle child’s eyes swelled shut and she had irritated lungs and was coughing. The dr thankfully asked about if we had gotten a real tree recently. We got her some eye ointment and took the tree out and she was back to normal. Our pediatrician teased her that she was allergic to Christmas. She’s 24 now and we still haven’t ever tried a real tree again.

You guys have entered the "multiple kid" phase. Layla didn't get as sick as Zade does because she was an only child. Zade gets to share all germs from you two AND Layla! Kid to kid spread is easier for germs as you see when school starts. Kids come home in the first couple weeks with the "class cold". You guys just relax, trust your judgement and your "gut". Eyes are always a concern, but pink eye was common with my daughter and her cousins. It rapidly spreads. Anyway, you cannot control "kid germs" when they're little. Their noses run, eyes water, they drool (sorry) and are lax at constant handwashing. You cannot control it unless you wash both down every hour. Let them get little illnesses to build their immune system, then if, heaven forbid, they get a more serious illness, their bodies will be prepared to fight it. Good luck ❤️❤️💓💓

I think you two are wonderful parents and do a wonderful job with the kids. I am by no means trying to tell you how to parent or live but I really, really, really wish you would get rid of that glass coffee table. Not just because of the kids but I worry about Carlins safety with her current health issues. I truly love watching your videos. I had one when my youngest son was little but he's 30 now. It just took one time for him to fall and hit his head on it and it was put the door.

Possibly "Pure Flix" would sponsor a Bates family Show with the entire family once a month? They could have every show aired from "Bringing Up Bates" and possibly have reflections from family's life lessons? Also, have each member decide weather they would like to participate in individual shows/vlogs and have those shown. This way, the family members wouldn't feel pressured to film if that is not what they wish. A "Bates button" if you will, so we could listen to Erin's phenomenal piano playing, the Stew Crew's vlog etc..? 🙏 personally, I am finding it more and more difficult to find wholesome faithful family shows to watch. I would put two fences. One as a play area for the kids so they can be enclosed if mom has to run in to get a jacket. Then another one that outlines the property for playing volleyball, football, or more sporting activities. My husband and I always added two ornaments to our tree. One, he picks and one I picked. The rest were ones we picked up from flea markets and garage sales, or from family and friends. We had a Victorian style tree with glass beads and old fashion toys under the tree. Wood cars, porcelain dolls.

Fencing can be very expensive depending on materials used and the linear feet. Where we live, 6 ft. tall cedar fencing is standard. We had 57 linear feet and a gate put in last year and it was over $4K just for that bit. Do your research on durable materials for your area. If you're going to spend a chunk, make sure it's done right and get multiple detailed estimates.

So all pink eye or conjunctivitis is…is a cold in your eye. Not a big deal but wash his toys, blankets, bedding, anything that he might lean on or if he rubs his eyes and touches toys as it is contagious. Once on the ointment after a few days he should be fine. Grownups get it too. Love your house and all your adventures. Happy holidays…
