I don't think you'll be made fun of. This episode had more men in tears than Saving Private Ryan. I openly wept while watching. For me... this was Star Wars. I liked the original trilogy a lot but I was the kid in high school with the Boba Fett shirt. He was always my favorite back in the 80s... and I always got crap for it because he barely showed up. Now... this show is like a love letter to a lifetime of devotion. For me... this show has been better than even Empire. Just perfect in every way! This is what we needed to end 2020. This is a real new hope that good can still exist. Don't ever apologize for how this makes you feel... this is the way!!!

Yes, good can still exist, but Evil triumphs when the good do nothing and that's what's happening in our world rn. The Good have become complacent and allowed evil to seep into every aspect of society, from Government to Education and Medicine. I feel the time is near that unless the good rises up the evil will only bind us tighter than ever.

Dude, no judgement here. In May of 1983, I was 11. That makes me...freakin' old now. I've waited 37 years to see that, having given up hope after Ruin Johnson's movie, and it could not have been written/filmed/edited any better than what they did. You, me, and any other fan that cared were all ugly-joy crying, bit by bit as the reveals went on. The sound of Red Five, the graceful landing, the cloaked walk, the fighting style, the green saber, the gloved right hand, the ode to the close of Rogue One, the decloaking, the dialogue, the Kennedy/Abrams/Johnson knife twist ("Talent without training is meaningless"), Din taking off his helmet, R2, Din's head nod to Grogu's wink... Favreau and Filoni have officially won 2020.

No joke, this was the best Star Wars I’ve seen since Revenge of the Sith. I cried too. It was redemption for how Luke had been treated since TFA. I’ll never get over how much hope I had for Luke to make a glorious return after the force awakens. Turns out my dreams were met with The Mandalorian.

‘’How you doing buddy’’ It’s amazing isn’t it.... How we all felt the exact same way while seeing this. And how everything pulled a different muscle in our hearts. Seeing Luke was, epic joy, but also.....kinda sad, exactly because of what you said: ‘’this is our luke’’ Then seeing R2 was, it was a happy cry, like when you see your best friend again after years of not seeing them, it was joyful, but also nostalgic. It was just.... Look, I don’t like shitting on the sequels anymore, everyone has the right to enjoy things, BUT.....HAVING SAID THAT. THIS.... Is what I expected to see during the sequels. I might’ve not gotten it for a full film. BUT.....with these few minutes I did get it......I was happy. I was truly, emotionally happy for a change. Especially during a year that’s taken so much from us. Last time I felt this happy and nostalgic with Star Wars, was with Rogue One. And I’m so glad I got to feel this way again. It’s moments like these, that make me wanna scream: I LOVE STAR WARS. Great reaction my friend.

This last episode for me, was just .... Cathartic . A release of emotion & feelings of being acknowledged for what I want to see from the Star Wars franchise (NOT what the Disney execs wanted to fabricate in the sequels). I'd never felt such emotions since seeing the original Star Wars in 1978 at the cinema (and being this old, I had to wait long enough !) I cried tears of joy at the end too, it was like seeing long lost friends from my childhood after so so long, which is kind of what Luke & R2 are to me ..... just brilliant.

Hey man great reaction vid. Nothing wrong with the tears. I had the same happy/sad tears seeing Luke in his prime and the departure of Grogu. I’m thankful they gave us what so many wanted to see. I'm not that invested, but seeing how hard-core fans have reacted with literal tears rolling down their faces, I have to recognise the power OF THE FORCE. It's a beautiful thing to see how much you all love Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. It is also a tribute to the power of storytelling. Hey can we all start some sort of movement to get The Mandalorian shown in cinemas? I'd pay to see it on a big screen, and it deserves it...

I've been watching (and re-watching, and re-watching) reactions to this episode for over a month now, and this is hands-down the best one. This reaction is 100% genuine, SO nerdy, and perfectly encapsulates what's so incredible about Star Wars when it's at its best. When I hear you say "If I have to explain... it's not something you will understand," I laugh out loud because one really couldn't put it any better. People LOVE this character in a way that really isn't comparable to any other character in the Western media canon. How many of you reading this remember, viscerally, the time(s) you went as Luke for Halloween? How many of you could draw his lightsaber by memory? How many of you as kids (or maybe as adults) can admit to looking at an object across the room, reaching out your hand, and willing it to come to you, wanting nothing more than do be like Luke Skywalker? This character is truly transcendent for the way he affected and continues to affect peoples lives--people of all colors and backgrounds, man or woman, across generations. The Luke Skywalker of the first three films taught us that even the humblest of backgrounds can't stop someone from making cosmic impacts. He taught us that perseverance, belief, and love are more powerful than a galactic empire. He also taught us that we all need help, and that talent without training (without discipline, without humility, without failure) is nothing. "That is Luke. That is OUR Luke," he says. Your damn right. This is the Luke people feel OWNERSHIP over, because he's been integral to our lives and to the people we've become since we first fell in love with him. The character is a part of us. So can you really blame us for wanting to see Luke in his prime? For feeling like he deserves transcendent, all-powerful moments because of what he's meant to us for so many years? Again, if we have to explain, it's not something you will understand. Just watch this video--watch this video and trust that what Luke Skywalker means to this kid is what he means to millions of Star Wars fans around the globe. Forgive me for the snark, but I can't help but imagine JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson watching this video and thinking, "Ohhhhhh... I think we get it now."
