I currently own a 2013 Evoque Coupe and it's been such a great car. I've put in over 80k miles and I haven't had to do any expensive maintenance to it. Guys like it, women love it, and everybody wants to go for a ride in it. It's just a great, fun, all-around vehicle. Also, I think y'all are comparing the Evoque to wrong class. Shouldn't it be in the same class of SUVs like the Mercedes GLA and Audi Q3? Love your reviews. Keep up the good work!

Sean Moran , I had a ‘13 Evoque and it was an amazing, reliable little car. I live in Northern Maine and have never owned a vehicle that was better in the snow. Not once have I noticed waiting for the infotainment to load up - its there once you're good to go. Had a 2013 Evoque Coupe until Oct 2019 only because of a car accident. Never had any problems with the car aside from a passenger airbag sensor needing replacement, and the drivers seat frame squeaking and needing replacement. Never had any engine/transmission/electrical issues. Drove the car from LA to San Fran, Vegas, San Diego and never was let down on any road trips. Unfortunately got t-boned, and car was totaled at 75,000 miles and almost 7 years of ownership. The car was thrown two lanes from a Prius going 40mph slamming into the side of the car. Side airbags deployed and a big dent, but I actually drove the car away no problems from the accident with no mechanical lights on or anything right to the body shop, folding mirrors still worked and the speakers/auto window still worked fine post accident. The tow truck guy said he was shocked how well the car took the hit for the severity of the accident and I thankfully wasn't harmed at all. Went on to buy a 2019 Velar, and had it for 3 months no problems.. been lucky enough to have had great luck with JLR products I guess.

Did you guys notice the engine vibration and extreme turbo lag? I owned an Evoque for a year and I couldn’t believe how unrefined that engine felt. The interior was the nicest I’ve ever seen, but I just couldn’t do it when everything else I drove (rentals, etc) had a much better powertrain for a lot less money. That, paired with some random antifreeze coming through the HVAC vents, led me to trading it in as soon as I could.

With this specific colour and wheels combination, it's the best looking crossover SUV. But so damn expensive.. cause it is not in the same league with X3, GLC, XC60 and others. Love all the people complaining about reliability, considering half of the evoques literally have a focus engine and gearbox, And EVERYONE who is complaining about and all their horror stories despite them being about 12 years of age, all landrovers made out of 1998-2009 are very solid and have good quality electronics, or non at all. Everything on their cars is made by Bosch, ford, Volvo, haldex and Borg Warner, and interestingly EVERY major even minor issue on them is caused by an American made part. I’ve had two of these cars in a row, a 2013, and now a 2020. I think the car and Land Rover get a hard rep. I’ve really enjoyed both of them. The new one is definitely an improvement. But The lag off the line is definitely an issue and the transmission could be better. That said, it’s in large part corrected by doing a K&N air filter. My car has the active dynamics package in addition to what you reviewed, which does give a sport mode that tightens the suspension for cornering, and allows you to choose between sport and comfort transmission settings as well.

I took the related car the Disco Sport(same platform) off-roading on easy-ish trails & did very well. Also drove it through some heavy snow & it did well too. My understanding is the new Evoque now matches the Disco Sport off-roading, while the previous model was a hair short. Like the Disco Sport can go through 600mm of water, while old Evoque was 500mm, while the new one is now 600mm. That impressive seeing as it's the sportier of the two. Disco Sport has been pretty solid, minus the bt issue the dealership keeps blaming on our phones being too new for the bt to reliably work. lol

great review... however you said there is no SPORT mode in the screens. The R Dynamic has an entire screen full of Dynamic settings...engine, steering, suspension, and gears..... do a PART 2 of all these settings and see if that changes any of the lag....

own a 2014 evoque dynamic black pack,, had the turbo blown and some other issue, about 6k in costs, but other than that great car, love it

two questions -- have you done a review of the 2020 Lincoln Aviator? Link? ok, one more question. for those of us in the GTA would you mind giving us info as to where "cliche corner" is? I like that you are Canucks and do interesting reviews and would love to take the Aviator to your route but also run my MKX on the same route. My MKX is 9 years old with only 103K KM but I still might move to the Aviator but would love to see a really in depth review done by local Canucks. TIA

Review the QX80 and it’s 8 year old body design (which still looks better than most modern SUVs)

One of the best looking SUV around. The rear bumper color looks different from the rest of the car

Nice premium tata. Anyone else notice the front and rear bumpers color don't match with the rest of the body 8:31.

When you guys hit 1 Million subscribers... Both should go on a 2 week long road trip across the USA. Ask subscribers for unique cars so you can review a new car every day for the 2 weeks. By the time you guys are done, the infotainment on the Evoque would be finished loading.
