From the very first second Elvis came on the scene to the last performance in 1977, he was magnificent in every way! He was exciting, so different, beautiful, soulful and generous to a fault. From day one, he treated his fans with such kindness and he was so accessible. That never changed, no matter how big he got. He loved his parents, friends, fans, and his precious daughter. Most importantly, he loved The Lord Jesus. He wasn't afraid to show it. He was so special. They knew it then and we know it now! He truly was a gift from God. Truly, his impact is immeasurable. Honestly, in all my life, I've never loved someone that I've never even met. I absolutely love Elvis! I wish I could tell him, and tell him thank you. He's like therapy for me and I will love him until my time on earth is over!!!! Colleen ♥️👑

Elvis was definitely the king of rock ‘n’ roll and the king of music, he did the songs the way he wanted them to do. He had the music inside of them and it came out. @Aquarius69
@Aquarius69 Ай бұрын
Not only the King of Rock´n Roll. That´s not enough to describe him and doesn´t do him justice! E1vis is the King of the entire pop(ular) music! Rock ´n Roll is part of it since E1vis. He made it popular for white people. He changed music basically, mixed black and white music, mediated and connected between black and white, created a new sound, revolutionized the music industry, changed many facts of popuar culture, opened the door for all followers, especially for black artists, to be except by a white audience. He liberate emotions that seethed beneath the surface of the people, fans and establishment. James Brown once said: ´´They didn´t allow us to show our face on a album cover, because we are black. Elvis did a lot for us!!!´´ All that and much more, next to his good looking, his unique, powerfull voice, his charisma, stage presence, humour, GENEROSITY, etc. E1vis is on another level. There is no comparison to any other artist, then and now. He still plays in a league of his own. E1vis was god choosen to do his work here on earth, and he did it perfectly. A phenomenon that appears once in history of mankind. The GOAT.

@@Aquarius69 Great comment, you couldn't have put it better. Elvis wasn't a son of God, but he was a messiah for the 20th century, doing what other messiahs did in their times, but spreading his message in the appropriate way for his time, via the media.

There wasn't any thing Elvis couldn't sing, there was any style he couldn't sing and he kept proving this right up to his death with Unchained Melody where his voice was operatic. There is only one Elvis, there is not another singer who can come close to his vocal ability. TCE

There is only Elvis and it is so sad He got into the drugs to be able to get up and then get to sleep! However, I know how it happens when you can't get to sleep! Elvis was already having trouble with it then being wired after an evening of shows Every Day! Poor Elvis and what could He do? Sleeping through the day would be the best thing he could do!

@JohnDeCarteretElvis 4 күн бұрын
@@spiritnme7772 Yes, I have to agree that Elvis was truly a gift from God. Elvis' voice never failed him. He used his voice like an instrument, often not in perfect pitch, but in such away that it was close, but draw the listener in. He simply used his voice to tell the story as he felt it. There have always been very talented performers in the various genes of music, but only one Elvis Presley and as he answered Marion Kessler, I don't sound like no one, but there are certainly many who have tried to sound like him. And failed. Of every gene that Elvis attempted, he was never overwhelmed by it, but was master of it. Even when in such poor health during his last months, performing Unchanged Melody, his voice was astounding. Many of the worlds top opera singers would have given their all to have sounded so good. Elvis was and will always be one of a kind. As has been said, God broke the mould after He created Elvis. With Elvis it is said that God was showing off. The truth is, only God knows, but Elvis' light was definitely pointing in God's direction. Only God knows the depths of our hearts, but I honestly believe we'll see Elvis amongst Gods people when in heaven. I thank God for Elvis, those he so generously helped . Some directly, others indirectly and those he influenced through his music. I know that he helped me when I needed help and guidance through his music. Like us, he wasn't perfect, and saw his need of God through His son Jesus Christ. It is all of grace,, the Sovereign mercy of God. As Elvis sang Without Him, I could do nothing Without Him, I'd surely fail Without Him, I would be drifting Like a ship without a sail Without Him, I would be dying Without Him, I'd be enslaved Without Him, life would be worthless But with Jesus, thank God I'm saved Oh Jesus, oh Jesus Do you know Him today? Please don't turn Him away Oh Jesus, my Jesus Without Him, how lost I would be Without Him, how lost I would be. If only more would come to realise how lost they are without God! TCE

@@spiritnme7772 Elvis has problems sleeping throughout his entire life. The truth is, no one, not even those within the inner circle ever really knew just how ill he was. The said part is that Elvis was dependant on these drugs for legitimate reasons. And as has been pointed out, these drugs were all of the type that were addictive. Drug addiction was still relatively unknown. What they don't indicate is that when Elvis started taking these, little was known about their side affects and that they were addictive. And, Elvis in fact did become addicted, which wasn't helped by his own philosophy that if one worked, two or more would work even better. Elvis' drug addiction was only one of multiple issues that he was fighting, dealing with. He was under constant pressure from all sides. His manager who wanted Elvis to work non-stop. Elvis' earnings were helping to finance Parkers out of control gambling habit. If only Elvis had followed through and sacked him. Sadly Elvis sort no outside advice and caved in. His bodyguards and the increasing assault charges, so many people depending on him for a living. Not just close friends and family, but the music industry. He kept RCA afloat, he kept pressing plants a float evening when records were becoming a dying breed. He kept Hollywood afloat during the sixties as most film companies were filming overseas. Elvis merchandise and, and, and. The list is endless and even today, he continues to do so, maybe not to that extent, but he is responsible for generating a whole lot of business. Sadly above everything, it is the ongoing lies that break through the top. And the number one and most lucrative proponent of such lies, for those of who don't know, is his 'EX-WIFE..' Priscilla Beaulieu, NOT PRESLEY!' I thank God that we had Elvis for as long as we did. There weans another incident in his life that is now believed to have speeded up his demise exponentially. That of an accident in which he tripped over a wire and fell and hit his head. The type of injury that he sustained has since been proven to have a delayed effect, which takes years for the damage to show through. And it usually proves fatal. Elvis hid so many things not only from his fans, the public, but family and friends. Why did Priscilla really walk out on Elvis, she walked out only after she discovered that Elvis was ill and the extent at that time. The one time when Elvis called the doctor and Priscilla came back. Until then she had no idea. She walked out, they devoured and Priscilla then started her never ending campaign to relieve Elvis of all his money and Graceland. Even during the last few months of his life, Priscilla was making a grab for Graceland, if Elvis didn't pay her the extortionate amount she claimed he owed her. Persistently since the original divorce settlement, Priscilla claimed time and again that Elvis at no time declared his true income and that he owed her more and more. The truth is, she was only ever interested in his money, she arranged for her to meet Elvis, not the other way around as she has always insisted. And Elvis wasn't her first target. Unfortunately, she caught Elvis at his must venerable, just after his beloved mother had died. Then on Elvis' passing, she set herself up in a good position to beg, borrow and steal from their daughter, Lisa Marie. And how she did a number on Lisa. Even while Lisa lay on her death bed, Priscilla went out of her way to search through Lisa's home for Lisa's will. Despite what Priscilla told everyone and the courts, she knew exactly the contents of Lisa's will. Why else would she search her own daughters house while she lay on her death bed. And it begets the question, did Priscilla, at any point truly love Lisa, or was it always about the money. And with Lisa, barely cold in the ground to head to court to challenge Lisa's will. And sadly, rather than fight against Priscilla which would have cost so much, Riley settled. So, Priscilla wins again and continues to portray herself as little miss squeaky clean. Something she wasn't, not even when she met Elvis. How long before Priscilla, once again turns against her grandchildren? She has already obtain some of Lisa's money from her life insurance for her son, though she claims this was in fact Lisa's idea. So, many lies, told, how to know when Priscilla is actually speaks thing the truth and not that of a forked tongue? And if she loved Lisa, like she always claims to always have loved Elvis, did she not talk of Lisa at her funeral, but rather read out something that Riley had written. Where is the heart felt loss of a child ever displayed by Priscilla, either in death or while Lisa was yet with us. Priscilla is a cold, cold, calculated person. One with no love except for money and possibly her son?

@@lilliangilbert4252 There's actually a very good example of this in "Jailhouse Rock." Vince is invited to a party by his partner Peggy, she introduces Vince to her mom and dad and the subject gets around to music. Peggy's mother asks her husband to "put on that new record by Stubby Wrightmyer😂, proclaiming "After all I'm sure Mr Everett is interested in Jazz Music, after all, it's his profession." Thus presuming that the virtually dead medium of Jazz would obviously be Vince's choice of music and not the vulgar new Rock "N" Roll craze sweeping the nation. Whilst all the older Jazz snobs stand around deifying a whole host of Jazz singers, Vince is asked his opinion, "Lady I don't know what the hell you're talkin about!" This should have been Elvis's Magnum Opus (his most important piece of art put to celluloid, worthy of an Oscar Statuette in my humble opinion!)
