It's a gift explaining complex stuff in a way most people can understand. Sometimes it's above my pay grade but every single time I'm learning something from it.

Is your "Days Overlay" a picture that you imported, or is it 5 separate days that you created using the Title Designer? I notice that you have just 1 layer called Days Overlay, but I have no idea how you created it as a single layer (if you used the Title Designer)

Hi Sean - The forecast display was made in GT Title Designer using assets created in Photoshop. It has multiple layers with specific named elements in it for the background, title at the top, and the weather information displayed for each day. It is populated by a script that reads the data from the site OpenWeather.org and reformats it for display. The video itself covers this in more specific detail. Thanks for watching!

what are the dimensions of your graphic elements? Did you make this with raster or vector images?

hi, is there a way to download the GT designed title? We'd like to adapt it to a german region...

Why make it hard when you can just load the XML via the data sources and map it to the title?
@StreamingAlchemy2 жыл бұрын
The specific reason we used scripting to do this was to do calculations and formatting changes to the values being pull from the source before displaying them. That would not have been possible if we pulled the values directly through data source manager. More generally, our goal with Streaming Alchemy is to give people tools they can apply to their own productions, and sharing the scripting concepts in this show is really core to that broader goal. I hope you found something in the show helpful. Thanks for watching! Best
