Lyrics:
Don't go there 'cause you'll never return
I know you think of me when you think of her
But then it don't make sense when you're trying hard
To do the right thing, but without recompense
And then you did something wrong and you said it was great
And now you don't know how you could ever complain
Because you're all confused 'cause you want me to
But then you want me to do it the same as you

This album was a very unexpected surprise and honestly as a long-time fan, I think it may be their best overall. I wasn’t into Angles or RCA very much and didn’t even know they had a new album coming out after so many years. I loved this one as soon as I heard it. It’s got a very sad vibe about it, reflecting on times passed but they did it so beautifully.

@@darthvader9173 You, conversely are painting my argument as black or white when it’s not. My argument is qualitative rather than reductive. There is such a saturation of rock music that is focused on being LOUDER, FASTER, more AGGRESSIVE (because this is the natural tendency of rebellion), that at a certain point, to me, it starts seeming less subversive, less potent, than it was originally intended.

i can’t explain how much i love this song dude. the way that it splits between your earbuds, the different sections, his voice, i love everything about it. i discovered this song on a drive to tennessee with my family and have been obsessed with it ever since, and it often makes me think of that drive. furthermore, as a younger person, i’ve always interpreted this song to be about generational divide and someone of a younger generation trying to explain their problems and beg older generations for help. sorry for such a long and random comment, this song is just really important to me and i had a lot to say about it! i wish anyone who stumbles upon this comment a happy listening!
