Many a college day was spent with their Bandwagonesque CD. So damn good.

What a great gig. A solid performance. Missing Gerry’s voice and songs but the other Fannies are still getting it done. 👍🏼

Teenage Fanclub's album "Bandwagonesque" (1991) should go down in history as an equally important British Shoegazer album, along with..... Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures 1979 The Smiths - Meat Is Murder 1985 Jesus & Mary Chain - Psychocandy 1985 Stone Roses - Stone Roses 1989 The Cure - Disintegration 1989 Lush - Gala 1990 My Bloody Valentine - Loveless 1991 Ride - Going Back Again 1992 Slowdive - Slouvlaki 1993 Cocteau Twins - Milk & Kisses 1996 The Verve - Urban Hymns 1997

Saint Martins I love your taste in music and I could NOT agree more that Bandwagonesque should be immortalized in music history as one of the all-time greats.. But, it's definitely not a "shoegaze" album.

Hard not to like these guys, their lyrics & music are really good, and interview excellent & interesting. Another great introduction to musicians I've never heard of - so glad their recordings are being reissued!

McGinley’s main voice in “Hold on” sounded too low and Norman’s backing vocals too high but the song still sounds really amazing... great
@anatolegabriele83803 жыл бұрын
At first, I thought so. But I realized that they have done this for porpuse. Norman is very close to the mic and McGinley, on the contrary, is sigging a little bit far from the mic. So probably they have done this for aesthetics reasons… the second voice (Norman) is in a higher pitch and volume than the first voice (McGinley)… if you listen closely, trying to heard the main melodic line (McGinley), it’s a beatiful arrengement. Great band.

@@anatolegabriele8380 I think this simply happened because Norman sings four songs as a main voice and Raymond just one. Surely the mix and the sound test was done for a correct voice balance between main and backing vocals. When McGinley sings “Hold on” this volumen balance is not altered and so Norman still sounds louder. This is just a very common mistake with the sound staff that not always know well the artists that they work for and his roles in all the songs.... Plus It’s hard to believe that a composer prefer almost not to be heard by the audience in his own song.... Anyway this is just how I see it.... only they could say if I’m right or not. Love this song too. Cheers

why is George recording it on his phone? Doesn't trust the camera crew?
