Are You Sure You Don't Need Another Drive? - JAM PEDALS RATTLER MK2

In today's video, Paul Drew from The Studio Rats is checking out the brand-new pedal from Jam Pedals called the Rattler V2.
this fantastic Rat-style pedal has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, firstly you can now choose between the standard ASYMMETRICAL clipping like the Rat and also SYMMETRICAL to get some smoother drive tones. Next, the mid boost is controlled by a second footswitch, which comes before the Rattler circuit which takes the pedal to searing overdrive and distortion.

I haven't tried this pedal but i have an early hand painted tube dreamer 58 which is my fave ts clone. Just one of many great circuits coming out of Greece. The rattler sounds smoother than the Rat. Another great vid.

It depends on how full your server is and if you have space for another one. You may just need a higher capacity drive.

Great sound with that SG albeit I’m not a fan of SGs. The symmetrical vs asymmetrical sound identical to me, must take a good ear to notice the difference

Jam pedals Rattler MK2 or Jam Pedals Rattler Ltd? Help me decide. I've seen Paul Drew's two videos about the pedals, but it's one thing to listen to it on my headphones, it's another thing to have the experience of being able to play with both pedals. thanks.

You should turn the pedal on and off much more often, otherwise it is difficult to tell what is from the amp and what is from the pedal.

Do you have issues with Gibsons and tuning instability, specifically G string? If so, any solutions?

funny enough Ive got 4 gibbos and all of them are fine, Ive has les Pauls in the past and had the issue.

It helps if you wind the string so it leaves the tuning peg at the top of the wind not the bottom. Doing it this way it makes the angle of the string flatter going over the nut. Hope this makes sense. Good luck.

Yep, sounds like a Rat. I love the added features, especially the boost. I don’t like the foot switches being so close together. I’m sure I’d have issues with that when playing on a dark stage, but I’m nitpicking. Super cool pedal. I’m sure they’re going to sell tons of them.
