I feel they should have a story revolving around the remnants of the Droid Army starting their own self governed civilisation on some backwater planet.

Apparently the Separatists had a presence on Batuu, which is considered a jump off point for the Unknown Regions. I could imagine CIS survivors regrouping there and fleeing into the Unknown Regions. Timothy Zahn's new Thrawn book even mentions Thrawn came across "Nemoidian refugees" prior to his contact with the Empire so who knows.

That would be a pretty cool TV I think. I can imagine a community maintaining them for all these years and using them to defend the planet if they were ever discovered. It would be cool to see some frankenstein droids like in Season 1 of the Clone Wars where they have had to replace their parts over time.

Although the Clone Wars were over, some people never seem to get the message. The worst case of denial was Gizor Delso, a Geonosian Separatist who'd somehow escaped Lord Vader's efforts to wipe out the remnants of the CIS. Lord Vader tracked him to Mustafar, and brought us in to finish the job. It seemed like a simple enough mission, but when we saw the fleet of droid ships, hovering over the planet, we suddenly realized that Delso's denial mechanisms were a little more dangerous than we'd imagined. The slight whiff of nostalgia the 501st had enjoyed fighting the droid fleet over Mustafar had already grown sour by the time we'd established orbital positions. Now it was time to find out what this was all about.

Lol I don’t get it. Are you mad about this? Anyways it wasn’t uncanonized, just that a very small number of droid leaders decided that the shutdown order was a trick. They were right. Only about 5% of droids were still left. Other droids were just so far away that they didn’t get the order or there was some sort of interference.

Incorrect the order still stood but roughly 10-15% did not recive the order due to situations out of their control and some simply thought It was a trick

Soooooo in regards to the last video: Vader DOES have the vision of Luke where Luke is now the one standing over HIM on Bespin, but the words exchanged are NOT reversed. Vader is still the one telling Luke that the Emperor has foreseen that he will overthrow him. It’s his destiny. Idk how Stupendous Wave switched those. Vader’s dialogue appears in black throughout the entire comic (and obviously...It’s a comic so there’s an arrow drawn to who is speaking). In canon, maybe some of the droids were picked up and convinced to join the fight against the Sith Eternal on Exegol during the Rise Of Skywalker. We don’t know what the exact number of forces that became part of the Exegol invasion force. Maybe they might’ve had former CIS droids within their ranks.

The size and scope of his “palace” on Mustafar in canon is similar to the palace we see on Vjun in Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. So what significance did Vjun have for Vader, considering it’s some backwater planet?

There were scenes in some Star Wars media, and in video games where I have seen some droids, still active. Do not know if this is correct or not. But in The force unleashed, don’t you have to go to a planet to destroy a crazed Jedi named Kazan parratis? If you remember he believed that he could build the Jedi temple back again on the planet he exiled to. He went mad and created and brought back droids. And what’s even more is that this planet was filled with parts including droid parts . It might not be cannon, or legends.

I don’t think it’s accurate to say Anakin initially deactivated the droid army bc when Sidious gave him the order, that’s when Padme and Obi Wan showed up on Mustafar. It wasn’t until Vader came back to mustafar with his clone legion, that they deactivated the droid army.

Some hold out a planets remaining battle droids suvived past the empire civil war and the end of the rise of skywalker and still roam across the galaxy still up and running, so there fates has not ended but lived on by doing something else, even droids get happy endings 😅

There are a lot of reasons why they did not implement separatist ships and hardware on a large scale. Since the Republic thought a war against droid armies and won. They did not want to look like the foes they just defeated. Plus Palpatine saw the flaws with using droids instead of conscripted soldiers. Droids only has loyalty to the person in control so there could be a way to make an easy uprising against his regime.

Short Answer: Gizor Dellso attempted to rebuild the droid army on a hidden production facility on Mustafar. However, due to the quick response actions of the 501st, Dellso was killed and the facility was decimated by a Venator class Star Destroyer bombardment. This was the last of droids and the end of the Separatist Army.
